Well, it's all back to normal...
brownback on the senate floor railing against roe v wade and partial birth abortion. He's repeated several times; "It's a sad, sad day on the 36th anniversary of the impediments removed to allow abortion in this country, 40 million killed, 90% of down syndrome children are killed". "Hundreds of young people are marching in dc today to commemorate the deaths of these children and the media won't cover it, only a few religious newspapers will cover it." And also made a reference to Obama's "rhetoric" regarding such matters.

They're nuts, they'll always be nuts. The Obama admin can extend all the olive branches in the world, but they will deride, divide and be divisive until their last dying breaths. It's what they do, it's all they know. The very survival of their party is becoming is facing extinction and they know it. That much is obvious, and their demise from the political scene can't come soon enough.

Durbin has now taken the floor to speak on the new jobless figures and the serious perils of the economy that we now face. What a difference.

1. They confound me.
I will never understand why they have taken up abortion as their do-or-die issue. Even if you are incredibly religious, you must acknowledge that the Bible is quite vague on the subject. What is not up for debate is SIN of slaughtering of hundreds of thousands of people for completely unjust causes.

I just don't get it.

3. I don't understand that either
I also don't understand why they are so against abortion, but they don't mind killing innocent animals.

4. Symbolism
Abortion is mere symbolism to them. The idea is this: who really wants to kill innocent babies?
No one. So they latch on to that.

Meanwhile, they do support killing other innocent humans because there is desire for that.
Too, it makes them feel strong and invincible, what with our huge army and all that.

Really, they have nothing else, so they must use symbols to make their mark.

6. Iraqi civilians are chalked up to "collateral damage in the fight for freedom"
and frying a mentally challenged person in the electric chair is A-OK as long as they've reached a viable state outside of the uterus. These people are bat shit crazy and the biggest hippocrates on the face of the earth.

9. Yep
Our problem is that there is some support for such activities. Our mission is to continue eroding such support and get to the point where people realize that they could be the next innocent victim.

Of course, we shall always have to endure the 'bat-shit-crazies' who are into death and destruction of anybody and everybody, themselves included.

7. Republicans know what brings in the $$.
I don't think most of them actually care about these privacy issues. They just know they can get their base to feel emotional about it and reach into their pockets. It's a scam. My .02. Unfortunately it's a really effective scam in many areas...

8. Ask anyone with a disabled child about getting help these days.
It is patchwork, exhausting, confusing and sometimes counterproductive.

All state governments are slashing budgets and it will be even worse in the next few years at least.

It almost requires two parents working. A disabled child requires one parent at home. Even parents with healthy children are struggling with day care and health care costs.
I wonder what it will cost for college when my grandchildren 0-6 get there.

This is all wrought by the GOP but they are in total denial about this.
