Ted Kennedy to campaign for Kerry
I know that Kerry probably could not find anyone to hit Bush harder than Ted Kennedy, but will he play well with swing voters? Or has Kerry finally said hell with the swing voters - something I wouldn't mind seeing somewhat - and having Teddy fire up the base, while scorching Bush at the same time?

2. I think pandering to swing voters should be stopped. Let them make up
their frickin mind for a change. They are too needed.

3. It's just dumb to pander to swing voters
If a bunch of numbnuts are inexplicably undecided at this point, screw em. Just fire off the base. That's why Kerry's coming out stronger and stronger against the war. He doesn't care if he's labeled a fucking flip-flopper or whatever 7-year old insults Bush throws out there.

4. i don't think it's "dumb" but it's just one area among many
we need to reach out to. and in different ways.

6. I don't much care for Ted,
I'll never forgive him for his brutal primary challenge to Jimmy Carter in 1980.

But if he can help defeat bush, its fine with me.

12. Especially after seeing an ad similar to this one in 1980

I've never forgiven him for that primary challenge to Carter.

7. Ted Kennedy is well respected nationwide

And quite frankly, our base needs a kick in the ass.

I mean, really, who cares about the swing voters?

To paraphrase, "Who are these people???"

No, we need to get more of US out to the polls than THEM.

Period.

8. If you want to "fire up the base" call for a US troop withdrawal from Iraq
and a repeal of PATRIOT and an overhaul of NAFTA.

13. Do that if you want to fire up the base,
and loose the election.

11. He will play well with the base
and we need that. If he appears before Labor and minority audiences he will help.
