1. please take a few notes
I can't watch it, but I'd like to know how Aaron Brown treats her. Badly, I predict. Snottily.

5. So far, he is not treating her badly at all.
Edited on Tue Sep-14-04 09:43 PM by speedoo
Of course he is challenging her, but he is respectfully allowing her to answer his questions and challenges.

She is doing fine. Very credible, but I am biased.

2. he doesnt have a problem understanding why bush and com
are on the attack even after KK states that Neil had threatened his ex over the phone leaving a threatening message. His body launguage is definately very telling in that he is gamely trying to discredit kitty and her book..

and who keeps calling the media liberal? do they watch as much news as I do?

4. I'm not a huge Aaron fan
I think he's being rather gentle on her so far compaired to Tweety and Mattie. Certainly that's not saying much-but he's not coming across as a rabid attack dog and he's allowing her to answer the questions.

7. I think the interview is going well
in that Kitty handles herself very well. He is asking some "source" questions and she is coming off credible in my opinion. Still more to come after the break...

14. I think she was very impressive.
He challenged her repeatedly, but she easily answered every challenge. This interview will add a LT to her book sales.

8. Chris Matthews was hard on Kelley, too,

though not as hard as on Michelle Malkin. He was more genial with Seymour Hersh.

25. He was harder on Malkin???
Seeing what a Bushwhore he is, I find this hard to believe. Is this so?

30. Yup
Even ol' Zell alluded to it when he challenged Tweety to a duel. Basically, when Malkin was a guest recently, Matthews repeatedly (and forcefully) called her on her BS about Kerry's war wound(s?) being self-inflicted.

3. Kitty keeps trying to get across to Aaron as she did earlier
on Mathews that this family is dangerous, where Mathews looked like he himself had already felt the sting of such danger from this wh, Aaron on the otherhand seems to be looking smirky, maybe that is the new look for those associated with Bush and com..

10. Aaron probably knows they're dangerous, too.
Which is why he smirks and defends them. He has to if he wants to stay employed. Brown has become as whorish as all the rest of them, although his manners usually are a bit better.

6. she has allegations that would "sink" shrub obviously......not for the
specfic act of pot/cocaine...but the continuation of lies and deceptions of shrubs past...this and the nat guard...his handling of Iraq etc...

All of it ...collectively... is a vote changer for swing voters.

during a certain period of his national guard, Is it journalism or gossip, aaron to kitty, she says journalism, I still believe he is trying to discredit her...

12. I watched the first half - thought it went well - please someone report on
the post-commercial second part....wanted to jump on to DU and catch up....agree that he did a reasonable job, and gave her room to make points.

But - can you believe what is going on here - serious allegations against and incumbent president, and half of the country is in utter denial??? Kerry should be up by 20 points at least....pathetic what has happened with the lazy incurious public, as well as the for the most part - loser right wing media.

16. Why doesn't she ask these guys to review their own videos of
their coverage of/interviews with SwiftLiars and ask what standards they thought they were meeting?

Seriously, it's probably because she hasn't had the chance (or doesn't want) to review all those films herself to be able to nail them if they try to lie about it.

I'd also like to see her respond to other questions with: Why is it dishonest or unfair of her to be explicit about exactly how many sources she has or other details supporting a given point, so that readers such as the interviewer can judge for themselves whether to believe it? What would be unfair or dishonest is to report information KNOWN to be untrue or to refuse to disclose the info that would enable people to judge it.

13. this is a well to do, privalaged family where kids get in trouble
and no consequences, kids get in school they would not otherwise get into, he is accusing her of just writing a book on a rich family getting passes poorer ones could not, throws in the Kennedy family as example...

He is excusing Bush and com by saying that all familys have such problems saying why them and not others to which she replies, because they are not just any family, but a very powerful one that needs to be exposed..?

Im not sure how it came off to others but to be honest, neither swayed me one war or the other?

15. I think she's absolutely right
The "all the rich families do it" excuse is NO excuse at all.

"All the rich families" aren't screwing up, covering up, and killing other peoples' families while promoting an image of themselves as Christian hillbillies of some sort.

There is no comparison and I can't believe he kept going at it.

20. why couldn't she say, "and you KNOW about the problems in those
other families, because someone reported it. Are you arguing that we should give the Bush family special treatment and hide the truth about them?"

that when you have a close race...will change a swing voter.

It's all character.

17. Wow! An unbelievably DECENT interview.
He treated her with respect, asked appropriate questions, and actually GOT the point -- these are wealthy people who get away with stuff. Kitty handled herself with class, and the difference between Aaron and Matt was UNBELIEVABLE. Very impressive!!!

21. 120 lbs of dyno-mite! Kitty Kelly can hold her own with the best.
I was tremendously impressed with her persona. She is a classicly elegant woman who knows how to hold herself and she can stick in the knife too...

Seeing her made me want to buy the book. She gave it an air of creedence.

22. He handled it very respectfully
if he doesn't challenge these harsh charges he'll look to partisan and his interview will score less points and interest with non-partisans and evangelicals who may stay home on election day after doubting Bush being a born again.

Brown was good.
