Kerry On Message At Last
Whether we have Mike McCurry to thank for this, or Joe Lockhart, or both, Kerry is starting to get exactly the right pitch in his message. The best political rhetoric just reminds people of what they already think. That's what Kerry did today. Here's what he said in response to Bush's National Guard speech:

"Today, we heard more of the same distortions from the President about the situation in Iraq. George W. Bush keeps saying that things are getting better even when we all know that’s just not true. The fact is, no matter what he says, all of us can see for ourselves what’s happening in Iraq – we can see it on the front pages and on the nightly news. But why would we expect George Bush to level with us about Iraq? He never has."

Now, Senator: repeat it, ad nauseum, until the media whores are forced to repeat it after you.

1. Great response
I really like this part: "But why would we expect George Bush to level with us about Iraq? He never has."

2. yea, things are coming together
The media will try to shut his message down but Kerry's slow drip approach will and is becoming a steady stream.

3. I like your last line
"Now, Senator: repeat it, ad nauseum, until the media whores are forced to repeat it after you."

The rethuglicans really are so much better at marketing than the dems. You would think that a long time ago, the dems would have taken a lesson from the right wing attack machine. The bottom line is that mud slinging really works, and the nobler approach does not. This is a matter of survival, so we must attack heavily.
