Deborah Norville is leading with disgruntled National Guard families
Is the tide turning? Has the press, at long last, figured out that they have been completely off-base on this story?

1. Ms. Norville better "stay off small planes" then.
:scared:

2. We need MORE military families and retired military to speak
out loud and srong. We have to take the "tough on terror" away from smirk.
Wish I could have seen the interview with the 911 widow.

3. NO! The tide is not turning....Bush is not toast....
the press is not getting tough and they're not fed up...the people aren't seeing the light.

I don't know how many dashed, ultimately false hopes we have to experience before we'll stop getting our hopes up.

5. As long as we put any faith in this media we have no chance.

8. Right, no false hopes, Keep up unrelenting pressure,
write them, email them, call them. The media. You have your lists, do it.

6. The tide probably isn't turning.
Norville has occasional petit mal conscience seizures, where she goes into a trance and imitates a real journalist. It passes.

7. I DO think that the press is feeling some heat . . .
Democrats have been much more vocal in the past couple of weeks and, while I have no proof of it, I suspect that more and more of us are calling and emailing and putting more pressure on them than they're used to getting from us. While I doubt we're seeing any kind of a sea change, perhaps we're having some small effect.

And we should keep it up, just in case. :-)

14. I was being partially facetious, too.
Norville does, apparently, accidentally engage in some real journalism once in a while. And even if there are only a few who can be reached, of course it's worth attempting to reach them. They probably get bloody little encouragement from their owners.

10. But balancing them with two others, and one of them

is Rep. Joe Wilson (R-Puke.) Not exactly fair to allow a politician to be on spewing Bush* talking points. Why not two wives who support the war? Couldn't they find another wife to speak for the war?

The two wives speaking for the military families' group are doing a fine job, though.

11. Norville & guests insisting that journalists have to be extra vigilant
when reporting about newly discovered documents . . .

Too bad they aren't as vigilant when reporting allegations against certain Democratic candidates thrown around by certain axe-grinding political operatives without any supporting documentation.

15. I'm not holding my breath
Whenever they lead with a story detrimental to Bush, they seem to follow it with a positive one. And people remember the last thing they see or hear.

I don't expect any great sea change in the media.
