Bush "still sinking slowly."
Sound Bites

Although briefly buoyed by the convention, the president's job-approval ratings are likely to continue their steady decline, giving Kerry reason for hope. But he should brace himself for an October surprise.

Of course, everyone who watches polls is watching the horse race. But let's look one more time at Bush's job-approval ratings. These remain useful because they provide continuous monthly data through Bush's whole term in office, enabling comparisons of Bush's convention bounce with earlier events in his presidency so far.

2. Interesting that Zogby uses the words "October surprise"..........
..wonder what he's thinking. I doubt if the Shifty Swifties was the one only bomb Rove had for Kerry. Expect something that makes Jack the Ripper look good to be laid on Kerry by some "mystery guest" stepping forward. My guess is that it will have to do with interns and zippers because they know that would seal his fate. Hey, who cares if it's a lie....nobody will figure it out until after the election. I hope John has an October surpise for Bush and that he uses it first.

5. The "key" to winning: be offensive rather than defensive.
The right-wing has successfully utilized the attack strategy for too freakin' long.

Don't bother defending against attacks,...

Time to launch attacks.

THIS IS WAR!!!
