I find myself still having a hard time believing we actually won it!

It is still exciting!! But I can't believe the American people came through!!

2. Yes but
I don't think it will really really sink in until I see him sworn in on Tuesday morning.

Isn't it wonderful?

8. I'm gonna be a mess for at least the first year of his presidency.
Every time I see him walk out to the Rose Garden, sitting at the Resolute Desk, or walking towards Marine One, I am gonna bawl. Sorry, I'm a sentimental mess.

Was at my sisters and we turned on HBO thinking we would watch a little of the Lincoln Memorial concert - thougth huh, pop music, and pretty lite weight stuff, etc. No. Wept thru about 2/3 of it. Sheesh. This WILL be a long year.

4. Yes...
Every now and then I go to Youtube to watch Charlie Gibson announce that Obama won the election. My mom, brother and I were watching ABC News at 11pm on the dot and I will never forget the way it felt like a burden lifted off of our shoulders that we won this battle. And then I just cry.

9. You're not the only one..
I've heard and read that sentiment all over the place..me included.

It's mind boggling and exciting how with each passing day it gets more and more real.

That there's actual HOPE! And very positive hope. It's like feeling a rush of enthusiastic anticipation before I remember why.

11. Sometimes I'll think of a joke or a comment I heard in the primaries/election... and then go "wait"

14. Yes
It reminds me of when I bought my first home. I did not get to
move in until a month after I purchased it, as the former
homeowner was waiting for the owner of the home that he
purchased to move out. 01/20/09 is going to be like that first
day when I was handed the keys to the doors of my own home,
and began to move my stuff in.

In the meantime during that month, I was anxious, impatient,
and excited, just like I have been since Obama won the
election on November 4th last year. As far as I was concerned,
GWB was no longer POTUS from that night on, and was truly a
Lame Duckya.
