War crimes? Treason? Crimes against humanity?

What these thugs and cutthroats did makes what Nixon did look like a church picnic...

1. The only thing I know of is that a President can't pardon HIMSELF...

3. I'm not so sure about that.
The Constitution doesn't say that, and as far as I know, since no President has ever tried, the SCOTUS has not had the opportunity to set that precedent one way or the other. Nixon didn't want to roll the dice and take his chances on what the court might do, which is why he left it to Ford to pardon him.

I think Shrub just might try and pardon himself on his way out on Tuesday.

2. Nope, I'm pretty sure
that Presidential pardons are absolute although I don't think a President can pardon himself so shrubbo would still be up for something.

Also, I don't think it's ever been tested in the courts that a President can pardon somebody for crimes not yet charged. I know that the stumbling ass pardoned Nixon for crimes that were never charged but it never did go to court IIRC but I could be blowing smoke.
