I have a "theory"...
Did anyone notice that last week, during the meeting among the 5 Presidents in the Oval Office, that Bush Sr. looked really really nervous.

the last time I saw him looking that scared was election Night 2000 when he was listening to Junior say that his brother Jeb was fixing the election in Florida.

My theory which belongs to me and is mine too (Monty Python) is that Senior KNOWS that big stories are going to come out soon about his son which will effectively destroy the dynasty which H.W. was attempting to perpetuate, stretching from his daddy Prescott, thru himself, down to JEB, not the misbegotten W, and thru to the nephews who were being groomed years ago, but who have since fallen off the map. This would also explain why Jeb is not planning, apparently, to run for Senate from Florida, which he might well have won. That liar Ed Gillespie was just saying on CNN that Jeb chose his family at this time over the Senate.

More lies from the lying liars.

I believe that the Obama Administration will not need to have anything to do with the stories which will proliferate shortly after the dethroning of this pompous sociopath. This issue may take care of itself.

1. I'm hoping that what you say is true.
I didn't see what you did with Bush Sr. but it has occurred to me that some of this may be out of Obama's control. I don't know how just yet but I am VERY curious to find out...

2. I think they all looked nervous and awkward
Clinton's comment about the rug was his attempt to ease the awkwardness. Carter and Obama looked more normal but the whole thing was badly done. Poppy looked like he didn't want to be there. I don't recall him ever standing for a photo op like that so I think he was very uncomfortable. George must have felt too exposed because his photo ops are always staged down to the curtains (or bookcases) in the background. Obama actually has an excellent public face. It's easy to forget that there are hundreds of cameras taking his picture because he's got such a 'normal' expression. It's not normal, it's his public face. We won't find him making idiotic facial gestures like Bush has for 8 years or uttering stupid gaffes or smirking, winking, calling everyone by pet nicknames or trying to massage Merkel's tense shoulders.

Thank goodness!

He looks scared to death and that he's gonna have a stroke at any moment - he's pale and was breathing very shallowly...

I'm telling you, he is afraid..

Do recall that there was a report prior to the election that there were stories which were going to be turned over to Sy Hersh if the Dems won. Well, last I looked, they did.

3. Actually, the correct word
would be "hypothesis".

My Asperger Syndorme, scientifically correct son once corrected me on the use of the word theory when what's really being put forth is a hypothesis.

It's part of the confusion around the use of the word theory in such things as Theory of Evolution.

As to the content of your post, I noticed the same thing. I would tend to disagree about the destruction of the dynasty, but I do agree that it will be a while before anyone with the last name Bush gets elected to any public office. Unfortunately, these people will continue to influence right-wing agendas behind the scene, make huge sums of money for such things as consulting jobs and speeches.

I have heard, however, that W can't currently get any speaking engagements. Boy, do I hope that remains true forever.

it was a great skit...which included the guy who said that he wrote Shakespeare's plays, and he and his wife wrote the sonnets, and ended with the fellow who said he could 'burrow thru an elephant.'

But I take your point and it is a good one...it is your point and belongs to you and is your point as well!

Maybe Bush can speak weekly at San Quentin or Leavenworth...

5. One of the most sickening things I ever saw in the media was in 2000
after junior's selection - It was Newsweek or the like - they had a whole family tree and were gushing on about the Bush family as though they'd replaced the Kennedys.

Those were the days for Poppy - but I bet by now he realizes it ain't happening.
