I got to thinking about Tuesday, then I recalled this old song
from Dion.

Everything takes time, especially change, far too often, to much time. I think that PE Obama will take up the fight once again for Equality, Justice, Freedom and Peace.

Those who have come before him, these four mena and millions of others have The Dream...may we all move forward to make that dream a reality.

"Abraham, Martin and John": (I had some audio problems, might be my pc, I loaded the video completely before playing, and it worked out the kinks)

2. Thanks and I'm thinking of an even older song
"Happy Days are here again"

The plane (country) has crashed into the river, but thanks to our captain (O'Bama) and his crew we will all arrive safely to shore.

I really think that the incident of the plane landing on the Hudson is a metaphor for what is to come, and that is why the story has such legs.

Happy Days Are Here Again
Words & Music By:
J. Yellen and M. Ager (1929

Happy days are here again
The skies above are clear again
So let's sing a song of cheer again
Happy days are here again
Altogether shout it now
There's no one
Who can doubt it now
So let's tell the world about it now
Happy days are here again

Happy days are here again
The skies above are clear again
So let's sing a song of cheer again
Happy days are here again
Altogether shout it now
There's no one
Who can doubt it now
So let's tell the world about it now
Happy days are here again

Your cares and troubles are gone
There'll be no more from now on

Happy days are here again
The skies above are clear again
So let's sing a song of cheer again
Happy days are here again
Altogether shout it now
There's no one
Who can doubt it now
So let's tell the world about it now
Happy days are here again

So long sad times
Pull along bad times
We are rid of you at last
Howdy gay times
Cloudy gray times
You are now a thing of the past

Happy days are here again
The skies above are clear again
So let's sing a song of cheer again
Happy days are here again
Altogether shout it now
There's no one
Who can doubt it now
So let's tell the world about it now
Happy days are here again

Your cares and troubles are gone
There'll be no more from now on

Happy days are here again
The skies above are here again
So, Let's sing a song of cheer again
Happy times
Happy nights
Happy days
Are here again!

3. If I can dream....Elvis Presley

IF I CAN DREAM

There must be lights burning brighter somewhere
Got to be birds flying higher in a sky more blue
If I can dream of a better land
Where all my brothers walk hand in hand
Tell me why, oh why, oh why cant my dream come true

There must be peace and understanding sometime
Strong winds of promise that will blow away
All the doubt and fear
If I can dream of a warmer sun
Where HOPE keeps shining on everyone
Tell me why, oh why, oh why wont that sun appear

We're lost in a cloud
With too much rain
Were trapped in a world
That's troubled with pain
But as long as a man
Has the strength to dream
He can redeem his soul and fly

Deep in my heart there's a trembling question
Still I am sure that the answer's gonna come somehow
Out there in the dark, there's a beckoning candle
And while I can think, while I can talk
While I can stand, while I can walk
While I can dream, please let my dream
Come true, right now
Let it come true right now
Oh yeah

4. These guys have crossed my thoughts so many times during this election.
Not only those brought down in anger, but others that have passed before us.

I have a feeling the edges of the clouds are going to be lined with the likes of Abraham, Martin, John and Robert, as well as Molly Ivins and Ann Richards.

You think that's the sun peeking through those clouds? Look again! It will be the smiles of the likes of those who fought so long for what we will be witnessing on Inauguration Day.

13. When I think that we are standing, once again, at the threshold
of history...I recall the days gone by, and look to the future. This 8 year nightmare is finally just about over...:)

Choir singing up a storm, crowd is HUGE...the beginning of the end of the hellish time we've seen.

If Obama doesn't get the message that we need serious change, there is something seriously wrong. We're pinning the hope of the nation on him...I think he'll do just fine...:)

Edgewood MD...train slowed down, 1500 people showed up, just to watch him and Biden pass by..:woohoo:

what a joyful contrast this train ride is to the one that
Bobby made in June,1968.
This is the best!!

17. That's OK, in a way it applies to the impending change in the course of things
so I thought it appropriate.

But it's also a reminder of painful events in our past.

Here's to the future! :toast:

19. Can't ever hear that without sobbing. But, here's what came to mind

Tuesday Afternoon
Moody Blues

Tuesday afternoon,
I'm just beginning to see, now I'm on my way
It doesn't matter to me, chasing the clouds away.

Something, calls to me,
The trees are drawing me near, I've got to find out why?
Those gentle voices I hear, explain it all with a sigh.

I'm looking at myself reflections of my mind,
It's just the kind of day to leave myself behind.
So gently swaying through the fairyland of love,
If you'll just come with me you'll see the beauty of

Tuesday afternoon, Tuesday afternoon.

Tuesday, afternoon,
I'm just beginning to see, now I'm on my way.
It doesn't matter to me, chasing the clouds away.
Something, calls to me,
The trees are drawing me near, I've got to find out why?
Those gentle voices I hear, explain it all with a sigh.
