7. He seems to have dubbed himself chief Republican asshole of the Senate.
I think that is how he hopes to get Republicans to rally around him so he can win reelection in 2010. He thinks this will make people forget about his prostitution and diaper problem.

27. That makes sense
His diaper-wearing-for-prostitutes scandal has likely put him out of the running for any higher office, and possibly endangered his reelection possibilities. With Louisiana being one of the few states that actually trended more Repug with Obama on the ticket, Vitter is probably banking on getting out the wingnuts in 2010 order for him to hold his seat. He's a useful idiot for the Repugs, kinda like some fool like Inhofe, in that they can drag him out to show that the far right-wing is thoroughly represented in, even if largely irrelevant to, their party. But it's disappointing that LA's "red" trend may actually keep a jerk like Vitter afloat in '10. It was great to see Landrieu survive, but, generally, LA seems to be morphing into a solidly Repug state. I'm glad that they're largely out of step with the rest of the country in trending that way, though.

Who cares what that disgusting creature thinks? He acted like a jerk during the hearings and was even rude to Hillary when he interrupted her and asked Kerry if her answer was going to take part of his alloted time. She was responding to HIS question. The guy is not even fit to be in the senate!!!!

On the other hand, thanks to all the other senators!!!

Congratulations, Madame Secretary!!!!!

time to answer questions comes from the Senator's time.

Congratulations to HRC.

(Did you see how Kerry answered Mika's question yesterday on whether the Clinton Foundation's issues would be HRC's biggest problem? He answered - No, her biggest problem would be getting up in the morning and waiting for the vote - that she would be very easily nominated. - nice way to answer avoiding the Mika intended discussion of possible conflicts of interest.)

18. I think Wendy Vitter had a hand in that vote....
Remember, Wendy's known for publically calling out Hillary during the Lewinsky mess---said she would never stay married to anyone who did anything like that to her.....

Karma took a few years, but I remember how many times that challenge was reprinted, over and over again, by the 'liberal media' during the Vitter/Diaper scandal.....

And if I know my gal Hillary, she made that bastard and his idiot wife squirm....probably just by making sure that the next time she say either one of them publically, she made sure she put a shit-eating grin on her face and went up and shook their hands.....

Did he give a reason or rationale? Even the other Republicans were effusive over her during these hearings.

She's absolutely qualified. And isn't that what they are voting on? Not ideology?

What a dick. She will do a great job and everyone knows it.

For the first time in my life, let me say.... GO HILLARY.

being the white rabbit his party could never quite catch up to, no matter what they threw at him.

I think he tried to act like it was an issue of American needed upright public officials who fully disclose everything. That David "Diaperman" Vitter's head didn't explode after making such statements is flat-out amazing.

In the world having the wife of the last popular US President being the top Diplamat for the new popular President.

We could run an actual Mr. Potato Head and beat this guy for re-election. All that needs to be done are TV commercials quoting Mrs. Vitter about Lorena Bobbit and some sophomoric animation of Vitter running around in a diaper.

This guy is completely irrelevant.
