Make no mistake about it, Rosa's refusal to give up her seat was not a casual happening, but something she'd been thinking about and planning for quite some time. She came from a community of people who KNEW that, one day, the very things we take for granted, blacks and white being able to work, live and play together could and would happen .... because they were already living it.

But then again, my father, who went to this same school with Rosa, said about 14 times last fall that he never thought he'd have a chance to vote for a black man for President in his life time, so maybe I'm completely wrong. lol
