1. That's just it, they love the gays too, and they always say so
Edited on Mon Dec-22-08 10:41 PM by kenny blankenship
They're always careful to explain to interviewers that they don't hate gays. They love gays. God loves gays and commands them to love gays too. But God also commands them to hate their sins along with loving the sinners.

They love them so much they will do anything, ANYTHING, to rescue them from their lives of Sin.

Rev. Rick has a brainwashing Expur-gay-tion Ministry too, just like they do.

5. They all say they love gays.
"Love the sinner, hate the sin," and all. And they'll continue to say they love gays even as they shovel them into the furnace.

6. Well Da Bible does not say 'love the sinner hate the sin'
but Jesus very clearly says that only hypocrites pray in public, and ordered his followers to pray only in private. If they followed that, this controversy would not exist.
They follow a religion they make up like Mad Libs.

7. I have close family and friends who are....
Christian and believe in intelligent design, pro-life, anti-gay marriage, etc. I am not a Christian, I believe in evolution and science and politically I am liberal/progressive. Here's the thing...I love my family and friends because they are good and loving people. They love me. Some people love me even though I love Coldplay. As long as we are capable of thinking, we will disagree...it's a fact of life. This is not the problem.

The problem is that we have laws that are not based on beliefs, views or opinions. One of them is the SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE. I hope this whole situation will uncover the real problem:

Marriage is a religious sacriment that has no place in our legal system. The word Marriage if used in legal terms CANNOT have a religious definition. It has to have a LEGAL definition.

In their attempt to force their religion down everyone's throat, Christians have made marriage and Christmas generic. Athiests get married and celebrate Christmas. Christians have succeeded in making their most sacred holiday a subject of a full page Walmart ad and now scream that "Jesus is the reason for the season".

The problem is not that gay people can't get married, it's that religion needs to be surgically removed from our legal system.
