So, Rick Warren doesn't allow gays to join his church
According to Maddow.

Should we all join clubs that don't allow Jews? Or blacks? Oh, wait - that's illegal! It's only okay to exclude us.

This gets more repulsive by the hour. How can this man be defended here?

8. And lets make it matter
Lets do to him what we did to Sarah Palin at the RNC. If/When Rick Warren speaks on inauguration day I will be donating $100 to a marriage equality organization I invite others to join me.

11. Indeed. It is always *we* who must be more tolerant; never, ever *them*

9. Does he state that on his site?
They love to recruit Jews, so I doubt they'd exclude one.

13. A post-recruitment Jew isn't really a Jew anymore.
I'm sure he'd take "re-educated" gays as well.

But really, who cares? The guy is a walking billboard for atheism.

You are right, it just keeps getting more repulsive:

4. Much of this debate is not really about civil rights, but a desire for approval. The fact that 70% of blacks supported Prop 8 shows they don't believe it is a civil rights issue. Gays in California already have their rights. What they desire is approval and validation from those who disagree with them, and they are willing to force it by law if necessary. Any disapproval is quickly labeled "hate speech. Imagine if we held that standard in every other disagreement Americans have? There would be no free speech. That's why, on the traditional marriage side, many saw Prop 8 as a free speech issue: Don't force me to validate a lifestyle I disagree with. It is not the same as marriage." And many saw the Teacher's Union contribution of $3 million against Prop 8, as a effort to insure that children would be taught to approve what most parents disapprove of.]

Seriously, if we could pass laws invalidating lifestyles I disagreed with, Free Republic would be a smoking hole in the ground.

23. With the exception of UU, most of religion is similarly bigoted.

To be religious is to be judgmental, and the more archaic the belief, the more tightly it is bound into biases based upon the ignorance of ancient goat herders.
