There will be no prayer at my inauguration, none what so ever, no prayer at the beginning and nothing at the end. As of now, separation of church and state is being strictly enforced. You want prayers, go to church or pray in your bedroom. The campaign is over, I'm President, and I don't have to pretend that I'm holier than thou anymore. Oh, and BTW, don't expect to see me in church this Sunday either, I've got other plans.

Do you think that would go over big with the evangelicals?

3. Oh HELL yeah it would!!
Anyone who would do that would show how utterly strong and brave they are and would immediately command the respect of the whole world, although some would never ever in a million years admit to it -- but the respect would be there, no doubt.

4. Will Obama make his oath with his hand on the Bible?
Enough with the religion in politics already.

5. Let's Fucking Try It and See.
The religious hypocrisy in this country is poisonous, and until someone REALLY steps up to defend the seperation of church and state, it will continue to destroy this country.

I am sick to death of so-called "christians" who claim to follow the bible, yet have clearly never read it. "Christians" who can quote only the few hand-picked, context-twisted lines their hateful pastors feed them.

Give me a courageous president who will defend the separation of church and state instead of a mealy panderer who "reaches out" to the most hate-filled christians without a care in the world for those people who are abused, evicted, fired, estranged, and MURDERED on a daily fucking basis because of the LOVE these assholes spread.

If a president - ANY president - got on national television tomorrow and declared that "the religious right has had an undue influence on this country's politics for far too long, and it is time to change that", that president would be an acclaimed hero for generations.

7. Amen. Anytime you mix religion where it doesn't belong it's asking for trouble.
Some of these high profile preachers who make a fortune by sucking the last dollar out of overzealous fools ought to be in fucking jail, not on some political stage strutting their stuff. Gimme a break.

Keep it private, the way it's meant to be and the only way it could be kept sincere.

12. And while you're at it ditch the
hand on the Bible and replace it with hand on the Constitution.
