2. Blagojevich is holding a presser at 2:00
Maybe he wants to get out in front of whatever bomb Blago decides he'll drop?

6. hoping hoping hoping
that he will announce that Warren himself has decided to step aside in the interest of American unity.

someone might have had to strongarm the self-righteous egotistical @sshat into it, but it would take the onus off of Obama (who, when i have seen tape of him defending this choice, clearly looks to me like he knows this is wrong), and also make Warren look a lot more like he is willing to REALLY try to come together on common issues. right now i am not seeing any willingness, only his big fat ego.

7. It'll probably be the speech where he tells the GLBTs to shut the fuck up.
Edited on Fri Dec-19-08 01:31 PM by last1standing
We should be grateful he's willing to even acknowledge us. How could we be so fucking presumptuous to expect respect for our work in getting him elected?

...supported Hillary, and Obama was never close to the community.

21. That begs the question---why did the LGBT community support Hillary over Obama?
It's not like they just arbitrarily chose. This isn't the first homophobe Obama has given "equal time" to.

25. Woman vs Man
I am no expert on this subject, but I think they believed that a woman would be stronger on gay rights than a man.

27. True--I think the Donnie McClurkin thing overshadowed this
At least, in my perception it did. After the DMc incident, Hillary came off as more progressive on gay rights than Obama, to me.
