While portraying Kerry as 'flip-flopper,' Bush has own history of changing positions

TOM RAUM
Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON — While working relentlessly to portray Democratic Sen. John Kerry as a "flip-flopper," President Bush has his own history of changing his position, from reversals on steel tariffs and "nation-building" to reasons for invading Iraq.

Most recently, Bush did an about-face on whether the proposed new director of national intelligence should have full budget-making powers as the bipartisan Sept. 11 commission recommended. Bush at first indicated no, then last week said yes...

—In 2000, Bush argued against new military entanglements and nation building. He's done both in Iraq.

—He opposed a Homeland Security Department, then embraced it.

2. There are separate rules................
for Democrats. When Bush does it he's called "decisive" and "a no nonsense leader".
If it's Kerry, it's "flipflopping".
We should all know by now that the rules don't apply to Resluglicans.

3. Take the term back-use it in protests where Bush speaks
The Bushies dress up in flip flops or clap flip flops together. Turn the tables and do it TO BUSH but with prominent signs and handouts showing that Bush is MORE of a flip-flopper. We shoudln't run from this term but embrace it.

What did Bush do when Kerry started using some terms in his stump speeches that Bush wanted? HE USED THEM HIMSELF and tried to make them his own.
