Regarding African-Americans at the RNC
Got this at a blog and went to the link:

http://www.keithboykin.com/archives/week_2004_08_29.html

It's bad enough that the GOP is using boxing promoter Don King and "ex-gay" gospel singer Donnie McClurkin to appeal to black voters. It's bad that they're using anti-black Zell Miller as their token Democrat to give a keynote address. And it's even worse that they've come to New York City, of all places, to exploit the 9/11 tragedy.

All that is bad enough by itself. But now comes word that the Republicans are actually paying black people to come to their convention and stand around as props in the audience. Yes, I'm not making this up. I heard from a reliable media source yesterday that the Republicans are actually calling up suitable black people to get them to stand in the audience at Madison Square Garden this week.

I would say that I'm shocked, but at this point I'm not. This president is just plain low.

2. Reminds me of the 2000 RNC and Presidential Election Fiasco ...
I remember at the 2000 Republican National Convention how the RNC paraded " diversity " at the their convention ; while meanwhile the protestors for Bush/Cheney during the Florida Recount were not seen at all . Meaning : the RNC is phoney . That was already a given . It was so obvious at this years convention . I am not suprised .

6. I wish I could remember

who to credit, but an acquaintance of mine at the blog site I use posted something interesting on the first night of the RNC. She said that she had invented a wonderful new drinking game for teetotalers. Watch the RNC, and take a shot each time you see anyone who's not white.

I told her she should market the game to self-help groups. She's definitely onto something.
