BARACK OBAMA & JOE BIDEN - OFFICIALLY OUR NEXT PRESIDENT & VICE PRESIDENT

The electoral votes were today. Washington State just called in our votes which gives has us at 274. Which means if those idiots got their way in California in regards to the Birth Certificate it wouldn't matter because we have 270+ votes right now without California. (and we know the CA Electoral Voters are about 10,000x smarter than these BC idiots)

1. Woo hoo!
I thought one of the cardinal rules of American politics was that no Democrat could win the White House without California. Guess not!

But California DID vote for Obama...
Am I missing something here, despite that ridiculous Prop 8 vote?

5. Their Electoral College votes just haven't come in yet today, is what it means.

Obama already met the threshold even before their votes.

6. All the official 'electors' of each state are voting today
It just happens to be that we hit 270 before California called in their official votes.

11/4/2008 was just us voting on how our Electors should vote on 12/15/2008. Provided that none of the electors decide to pull a fast one they should vote the way the results came out on 11/4.

It's a silly process but Obama is now OFFICIALLY the president-elect.

17. well......
A couple of nutbars (including Alan Keyes) have lawsuits in California trying to get the California Secretary of State not to certify the electors until Obama "proves his citizenship". They're also claiming that at least one elector is really dead, and other wingbat claims.

Since none of the cases have gone to trial and no injunctions stopping the electors have happened, it's likely California is just making sure all the "i" are dotted and the "t" crossed, to make sure it can shut down these wingbats.

Besides, according to reports, the voting has taken place and all 55 went to Obama.

10. That's a good idea. Maybe I will see if I can take part of the day off and go watch
I went in 2007 to the first day of the new Congress because that was historic too...I will ask if I can have part of the day off.
