What part of "F*ck him" does the Media NOT Understand? Clarifying the Obvious.

What part of "F*ck him" does the Media NOT Understand?

December 15, 2008

"I've got this thing, and it's f*ckin' golden, and uh, uh, and I'm not going to give it up for f*ckin' nothing." Blagojevich said while speaking on tape in reference to the Senate Seat vacated by President-Elect Obama.

Throughout the Text of the Federal complaint against Blago, the governor speaks of his contempt for the President-Elect Obama and the Obama team, specifically in reference to the vacant Senate Seat.....they are "not willing to give me anything except appreciation. F*ck them."

Those quotes are from the horse's mouth, according to the complaint. The vileness in which Gov. Rod Blagojevich speaks of our brand new elected President, shortly after his near landslide election, cannot be missed.

So what is it that the media does not understand?

Well, to begin with, they don't seem to get that the public heard those expletives and whom they were aimed at as Prosecutor Fitzgerald read the complaint over our national airwaves. The public hasn't missed who was featured in Blagojevich's taped diatribes; President-Elect Barack obama with the recurring role as F*cker-in-Chief Elect.

Ordinary Americans may despise politicians who fall from grace due to scandal, but they appreciate even less an already discredited media hounding a not yet sworn-in President for being called a F*cker while apparently refusing to pay to play. The President-elect did good by only offering appreciation for the Gov's consideration of his Senatorial selections. What the American public "gets" is that while the new President-Elect is trying to get Americans out of a major crisis of monumental proportion caused by another President that is universally disliked, the media appears bent on making unjustified innuendos and casting aspersions.

The Media may hope that we don't remember what we clearly heard Prosecutor Grant emphasize not once, but twice, during the only press conference given by those in the know; that "...people should not cast aspersions on people who were discussed on wiretap or bug tapes, or conduct with other people, or scheming to figure out how to approach them for different things."

The Media may wish that we'll forget Prosecutor Fizgerald's assurances..."So I simply pointed out that if you look at the complaint, there's no allegation that the president-elect -- there's no reference in the complaint to any conversation involving the president-elect or indicating that the president-elect was aware of it, and that's all I can say."

But a growing conundrum for the press is that the more they report on Blagojevich and his corrupt story, the more Obama becomes virtuous in the eyes of the public.

In fact, some in the public are wondering why the press is not more bent out of shape that an incoming President would be called such despicable names. In a normal world, reporters (especially those who opine more than report) would have been quite offended of such language being used against a United States President. Accordingly, Obama's poll numbers aren't budging, and documentation on the Corporate Media's "out of touch" nuanced mudslinging has begun.

I suggest that the Corporate media hurries its often time too late self examination on the approach many have chosen in covering this scandal, and review the less than veiled aspersions being made about the President-Elect by some of their co-horts. If they do not, then they may be surprised when they are the ones being referred to by the American people as those Media F*ckers.

What the American people have become clear eyed enough to see after eight disastrous years over two Bush terms, is that the Corporate Media has the tendency to fail in its assigned job of simply reporting news. The days of witch hunts are over, not because it isn't fun, but because our country simply can no longer afford it. Unlike during the Clinton years, the American electorate is not in the mood of being dragged through invalid insinuations regarding the incoming President, just because the press doesn't get "it". We are facing serious times, and fabricated scandals and three ring circus will neither amuse nor distract the American People.

When the American people voted for Change, it was not restricted to only what the Future President would do; it was a clarion cry that Change was needed in our overall way of doing business. Evidently, what the media doesn't get just yet is they are expected to change too.

6. Friday on DailyKos

http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/12/12/142929/59/901/672355

EMANUEL: Did I call you a stranger? If I thought you were a stranger, you think I'd be interrupting my important fucking business to take this fucking phone call?

BLAGO: Hey you don't have to get curt with me, Rahm.

EMANUEL: This isn't me being curt, Gov, this is me being fucking busy. Now what did you call about?

BLAGO: I'm just feeling you out, seeing if Valerie still wants that Senate seat, just wondering what kind of priority that is for the President-Elect.

EMANUEL: Actually, it's not a priority. Valerie's had second thoughts about the job.

BLAGO: What, she doesn't want it anymore?

EMANUEL: She's having second thoughts. You want more details, you ask her.

BLAGO: She won't take my calls.

EMANUEL: Big fucking surprise.

BLAGO: What's that supposed to mean?

EMANUEL: Um, I don't know, what's it supposed to mean governor? A.) You're a fucking crook. B.) You're a fucking asshole. C.) All of the above.

BLAGO: I'm clean Rahm, you know this. You think that fucking Fitzgerald would being twiddling his fucking thumbs if he had shit to go on?

EMANUEL: I gotta go, Gov. You appoint who you want, we really don't give a shit.

BLAGO: What if I appoint Valerie, what if she takes it?

EMANUEL: What do you want me to say? We'd appreciate it, I'm not gonna fucking kiss your ring over it.

BLAGO: "Appreciate it"? Come on, this is a senate seat we're talking about. It's worth a fuck of a lot more than appreciation.

EMANUEL: You asked us for a list, we gave you a fucking list, you want to make your own list then make your own fucking list. But if you're asking for anything else from me, or Barack, or Valerie, then you can fucking stop talking right now Rod.

BLAGO: Wait a sec there Rahm. Wait just a fucking minute. Who are you to talk to me like that? I fucking made you.

EMANUEL: You made me? You made me? Tell me you're fucking joking.

BLAGO: No no no, you listen to me shit-face. You see this list I got, the names motherfucking Obama fucking wants for the Senate. I just ripped it in two. How you like that? Oops, Harris just dropped it in the shredder. Harris?

HARRIS (muffled): Yes sir?

BLAGO: Did you just drop that list in the shredder?

HARRIS (muffled): I did.

EMANUEL: Do you have me on fucking speakerphone?

BLAGO: It's in the shredder, Rahm. The list is bye bye.

EMANUEL: Hold on a sec -- you got me on fucking speakerphone? Who the fuck do you think I am?

BLAGO: Who are you Rahm? Who are you? You're shit, you hear me? Don't come back to Chicago Rahm, it's not your town any more.

EMANUEL: Pick up the phone Rod.

BLAGO: I'll put someone in the senate who will fucking fuck you. I might even put myself in there, how you like that Rahm? How you gonna explain that to fucking Barack, every time he's gotta call me up for my fucking vote. He'd have to take my calls then, wouldn't he?

EMANUEL: I said pick up the FUCKING phone!

BLAGO: I got your attention now, didn't I?

EMANUEL: Shut the fuck up and listen to me for one second Rod. And I want you to listen carefully, because this is the last time I'm ever going to talk to you. You are fucking dead to me. You been fucking dead to Barack since '06, now you're dead to me. Know what that means? That means you're dead to my people in Chicago, Daley on down, and all these friends you think you have aren't gonna touch you with a ten foot fucking pole.

BLAGO: Oh now you're the fucking Godfather? Fuck you.

EMANUEL: No fuck you. Fuck you. Fuck you.

BLAGO: Fuck you!

EMANUEL: Listen up asshole. The shit's gonna hit the fan, maybe tomorrow, maybe next month, and when Fitz finally brings down the hammer it's gonna be my name that's going through your head. You won't know the hows or the fucking whys, but it's gonna have my fucking fingerprints all over it. Have a great life fatso.

BLAGO: Hey fuck--

EMANUEL:

10. I'll be hanging that up in the bar tonight.

Lots of folks who only source their news from rightwing talk radio.

Of course, it's possible this is not a real transcript. Daily Kos might well have just made up something for entertainment purposes. They don't always tell you when they're doing that.

But since 99% of the "facts" on rightwing radio are invented -- Limbaugh even uses "I'm just doing comedy" as an excuse for his lies -- this is no less legit than what they usually hear.

Note: this bar is actually in IL-05 district currently represented by Rahm (until January) and represented by Blagojevich prior to Rahm. Blago jogs within half a block from the place quite frequently (though I seem to be the only person who has never seen him).

I hope like hell this is the real transcript. Below is how I suppose it would appear in the mainstream media....

EMANUEL: Did I call you a stranger? If I thought you were a stranger, you think I'd be interrupting my important business to take this phone call?

Good satire, but complete satire. Too bad it wasn't immediately obvious.

13. The more the media stays with their attempts of raising the level of scandal
Edited on Mon Dec-15-08 05:32 PM by FrenchieCat
and their attempts to nefariously link Obama when there is no nefarious link will only show the media to the United States for what the American Public is already suspecting.

Like anything else, when they push too hard, their risk push-back.

If they keep conflating the Blago scandal with Obama's integrity, they will lose the rest of those who still believes them....which apparently is becoming fewer and fewer.

15. Each and everytime Obama gets to the podium during these pressers,
he consistently makes the media look petty and small. The fact that the media continues to show that it isn't interested in solving America's dire problem, the more they demonstrate that they are are not on the side of the people, and therefore are not fullfiling the entire reason why their is a "free press" provision in our constitution.

16. Our media likes to stir the pot of shit. Kind of like that old aunt that ever body has. If
something is pissing you off about another family member and you do not want to confront them directly, you can always go to the old aunt. The old aunt just loves to stir it.

So, by going to the old aunt, telling her all about it, you know that sooner-than-later, the family member will get the notice.

Don't know if my analogy is helpful or not, but it really reminds me of our media. They just stir and stir, aimlessly stirring. They love problems.

18. Which is what makes them nefarious in this scandal.......
and I guess that at some point they will realize it, and talk about themselves, "the media", as though it really isn't them.

That's what they did with their buying the lines fed to them by the Bush Administration without questiond uring the run up to the Iraq war.

I repeat, the media hasn't yet figured out that call for "Change" includes them. They need to get a f*cking clue!

The beauty of Obama? He knows how to use the internet to his advantage.

I look forward to plenty of heart to heart chats (videos) of Obama telling it like it is WITHOUT the media overlay/interference.

Frenchie - I thank you for posting this, but I'm not paying attention to the media anymore. Seriously - they can't be trusted. They are trying to get out of the gate with the same bullshit they threw at Bill Clinton for 8 years with Obama - but the difference?

The internet was not as powerful in 1992.

Me? I'll keep checking my inbox for videos from the President Elect. I trust him.

I don't trust them.
