Obama begins Inaugural Events in Philadelphia!!
President-elect Barack Obama will travel by train to his inauguration celebration, kicking off the events on Jan. 17 in Philadelphia with his family. The incoming first family will then ride the rails to Wilmington, Del, where they will pick up Vice President-elect Joe Biden and his family. They will also make a stop in Baltimore. The cities were chosen because of their pivotal role in American history, aides said. The theme of the celebration, which culminates on Jan. 20 with the swearing in ceremony, is “Renewing America’s Promise.”

very Lincolnesque.

But man would that be a mess if he was arriving on the 19th or 20th!

At least he won't have the trouble getting through maryland/Baltimore that Lincoln did!

5. Make a cool sign that is easy to see
there is little doubt that they will have a documentary camera crew with them to record every moment for posterity.

So, if you're out along the tracks with a cool, colorful sign you might end up in the final cut!

How awesome would that be?

6. WOOT!
I'll be there. Seeing as how I live in the city and everything. I also plan to be in DC so I'll have twice the fun!
