where can I get John Kerry's voting record on Intelligence spending?

I have been in a "heated debate" with my brother-in-law who has been drinking large quanities from the Bush kool-aid pitcher:eyes: He has a list of questions for me regarding some votes that Kerry made about intelligence spending, education, and a few others. He says he is voting for "uncle Bush" because Kerry wants to raise taxes (this is a guy who struggles from paycheck to paycheck) and he said he just can't afford to pay anymore taxes. He's so misinformed :argh: and he's just ONE of many.

1. When Kerry voted against an increase in intelligence spending it was for a

VERY important reason. The increase was for HARDWARE, spy equipment, that wasn't really helping fight the terror war.

Kerry wanted the money instead, to go to the human intelligence, the ground game. It turned out that Kerry was right. The beefing up of human intelligence on the ground would have better prevented 9-11.

Important to note that the hardware being developed was too easily used against our own citizens and furthered the certain rise of a Big Brother America.

5. I struggle from paycheck to paycheck and it has gotten worse since Bush

took over. I pay more taxes now and have not had a raise in 3 years. My monthly costs increased while my income decreased.

I also would recommend that he compares Kerry's votes on intelligence spending with those programs for which Cheney wanted to reduce spending. You'll find that Kerry's votes to decrease spending in certain areas match those Cheney wanted to decrease.
