CNN talking Point: "Obama said he would have a transparent government"
"He's not being transparent. Hes not answering the reporters questions on this."

These people should be retrained in a mental facility. Starting with Jessica Yellin.

2. they want to bring his poll numbers down. My only comfort
is knowing that if all the smears during the campaign didn't work...why would they start working now? The economy is still tanking too!

5. Joe Klein has noticed
I've been watching cable news this afternon--I know, get a life!--and you know, Barack Obama comes from the same state as Rod Blagoyevich. That is really suspicious! What did he know and when did he know it? This is the first major scandal of the Obama Administration! He has to explain himself. You notice he hasn't had any press conferences since this thing broke...oh, wait. He's having a press conference tomorrow...And Patrick Fitzgerald said that Obama is no way involved in this? I'll bet! That's not what Sean Hannity thinks! It's a coverup for sure. Will Obama be the first President to be impeached before he's inaugurated?

Stay tuned...but only if you have a strong stomach.

3. Press wants to prove it can be tough on Obama.
Don't ever let yourself think that the press is on our side. THey are on nobody's side, except temporarily and strategically.

11. What didn't Obama know
and when didn't he know it? :sarcasm:

They want him to prove a negative, which is impossible so no matter what he says won't be good enough.

7. here's media matters' compilation of the media trying to connect Obama
Edited on Wed Dec-10-08 07:39 PM by ErinBerin84
over the past couple of days.

"Disregarding prosecutor and U.S. attorney Patrick Fitzgerald's warning to "not cast aspersions on people for being named or being discussed" in the criminal complaint against Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich (D), several media figures and outlets have used the Blagojevich scandal as an opportunity to engage in suggestions of guilt-by-association against President-elect Barack Obama. This guilt-by-association has taken the form of rehashing Obama's purportedly "questionable associations," or suggesting that Obama is a product of corrupt "Chicago politics." A number of these media figures have linked Obama to Blagojevich or convicted Chicago businessman Antoin Rezko but ignored the fact that Obama has not been accused of any wrongdoing with regard to either case. Other media outlets, like the Associated Press, have used the Blagojevich scandal to revisit Obama's associations to controversial figures who have not been accused of any criminal wrongdoing, such as Columbia University professor Rashid Khalidi and Rev.
Jeremiah Wright Jr."

8. F*ck these people!!!
If CNN had asked Bush/Cheney the "tough questions" and insisted on them answering, then we wouldn't be in the situation we are in currently.

But noooo, CNN wanted to be Il Duce's propaganda machine...

9. I hate to say it, but maybe they are right
I don't believe Obama has anything to hide here...by answering a few questions he could help make that clear. Hopefully he will do that tomorrow during his press conference.

13. So... this man campaigned for two years,
had every little thing dug up on him and his wife that anyone could find, made it through the election, is about to be inaugurated, and then this Governor, who everyone has known is corrupt for years and years gets arrested and what... everyone somehow missed a huge connection between them all this time?

Or, is it that now that he's the President-Elect he's decided to start making deals with dirty politicians?

Give me a break.
