OK....I'm turning off my television.

Watching Hardball and the first 1 minute of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue did it.

NO More!

1. It's the dead season for the MSM -- don't let it bother you, FC
They'll chew on anything that is remotely tasty. Obama gets big ratings no matter the context. They'll drag him into every imaginable thing they can (and even stuff like this).

WHAT: Exactly did they say?

4. Tweety, Shuster, and folks at CNN believe that Obama has to answer questions
in order to satisfy that he had nothing to do with ILL Gov.'s corruption.

They are taking their talking points from the RNC again....
even though the RNC ruined our country.

16. I'm with you FC - Obama hasn't even gotten into office yet and they're manufacturing scandals.
It's almost laughable. Is the media in that much financial trouble?

3. most people probably aren't paying attention as much as we are
And in any case, if the Republicans don't have anyone better than Pat Buchanan to chew Obama out on not "speaking up sooner"....PAT BUCHANAN(!), then they have a serious problem.

5. Apparently
The prosecuters saying he wasn't involved and the tapes are not credible enough. In my opinion, NBC must explain their crime of putting Jay Leno on primetime every night next year.

7. Shuster's still been less of a pain in the ass than Gregory would have been though
Edited on Wed Dec-10-08 06:30 PM by ErinBerin84
I bet. I can't even imagine what Stretch will be like this Sunday on MTP.
edit: and Shuster just made fun of a McCain advisor and William Kristol, so I still think he's been a lot better than Gregory this week.

9. Got home saw a few minutes of the Situation Room and exploded.
Their disappointment at not having anything on Obama is as obvious as their attempts to make him guilty anyway.

~Sigh~ It's going to be four years of fighting and exposing the MSM slime.

10. I'll gladly K&R this, FrenchieCat.
And I've kept my TeeVee off for the better portion of the last couple of days. I'll watch the test pattern before I'll tune in to the squawking head corporate media whores. They disgust me. I'm glad I'm preoccupied with holiday preparations. It keeps my mind off the bullshit nooze and keeps my blood pressure at a healthy level.

Fuck the media.

11. Don't watch the MSM right now, they are bored with the transition and need something juicy to talk
about. Fitz already said Obama is innocent, he has nothing on him. Besides, can't Obama invoke executive privilege like Bush did? Or at least when he becomes president? (I am being sarcastic of course).

14. Of course he does
In case you hadn't noticed, that's been SOP for years. Democrats have to prove their innocence of any batshit slur the right comes up with (remember the witchhunt of Clinton?) and even if the allegations are complete lies, the media will still repeat them endlessly (see "Blinded By The Rights" and the Swift Boat Vets). If you're a Republican, you almost always get the benefit of the doubt.

Olbermann summed it up as "a million rules, but only for the other guy".

15. of course Obama must be guilty of something, he's from Chicago!
he's also guilty of Bush's crimes because he's from the United States.

pathetic reporting on CNN, that 'we're not sure and we have dickus for evidence, but there's something here folks!' tone.

18. Slept in late, got up at 910 only to hear this crap on CNN
Too bleary eyed to see who was doing the talking but first thing out her mouth was Obama will have to take questions from the press regarding the Blago situation.

Her co-anchor enthusiastically agreed with her when he should have said "WHY should he? It's obvious from Blago's taped responses that Obama was not interested in "playing ball"."

Completely irresponsible journalism.

19. Kiran Chetry went all the way there earlier this morning
saying that Blago and Jackson, Jr. are obviously knee-deep in corruption as a segue to Obama is tainted. I forget the name of the woman Chetry was speaking to, but she called Chetry on her accusation and Chetry pulled it way back.

I wish I had a clip of that exchange it was unbelievable.

20. Bob Cesca of the Huffington Post
Edited on Thu Dec-11-08 02:46 PM by ErinBerin84
http://www.bobcesca.com/

has a pretty funny blog and he often documents the absurdities of the talking heads...he says that they are desperate to slather him with "Blago sauce:, heh. Someone on MSNBC said from Chicago that things were looking good now (when confronted with Obama's awesome approval ratings), but the "smoke from the back room was coming out from underneath." Whatever!
