Articulating? Bush?
Either his speech writers deserve a medal, or the NY Times is in love with him. The following headline (with link to the resulting article, which made me choke on my coffee) was listed in my in-box this morning.

Any derivative of the word articulate has no place next to B's name.

OP-ED CONTRIBUTOR
What Women Voters Want
By LANCE TARRANCE and LESLIE SANCHEZ
President Bush's growing strength among women stems from his skill at articulating the issues in a way that appeals to them.

Note: forgive me if I've got the wrong forum. I think I've figured out my way around, but I may not be there quite yet.

1. Welcome to DU!
I can't believe that anyone thinks Bush appeals to most women. He's struck at overtime, healthcare, and a woman's right to choose. No thank you!

3. Thanks for the welcome,

and I'm still shocked that Bush is being credited with any kind of skill, especially in that department.

2. In other words...
some words are more effective at duping people than others.

5. Ha!

It can be assumed that those are the women who are apparently taken with him. And, silly me, here I was thinking newspapers were committed to truth.....

Okay. I can't say that here with a straight face.

6. I feel great shame for my sex
If women start to move toward Bush because of his speech patterns, well let me hand my head in shame and look into a gender neutral sex change.

7. Kerry had a much larger lead among women before and after his convention
than that poll suggests.
