MI-Gov: Statewide Recruitment Thread
Democratic Gov. Jennifer Granholm of Michigan is term-limited out of the governor's mansion in 2010. Who should run in her place? And who will step forward for the GOP?

2. The only names out there so far
are Lt. Gov. John Cherry and Macomb County Sheriff Mark Hackel, who is thinking about it. Dennis Archer, who I really would have liked, has announced he's decided not to run.

6. So did I.
I like John Cherry, but I just don't know if he's strong enough to beat whoever the GOP runs.

10. No DeVos next time around which is disappointing
He was such a horrible candidate for the GOP. I saw this video of him announcing that he wasn't running and he was just as uncomfortable and unnatural as he was during the election. I do think he will have a lot of influence over who does become the Republican nominee. Whoever he, his family, and their money support will be the GOP candidate. I think they might go with Terri Lynn Land.

16. Thanks
I was afraid that the "asshat" section of my mental filing cabinet had become unorganized.
