4. Did the person who filled out that ballot also draw the square next to Coleman's name?
Edited on Tue Dec-02-08 03:44 PM by jenmito
If not, I have no idea. Even if so, I would think it's clear it's for Franken.

10. There was probably a vote for McCain on it also.
Those are some of the ones Coleman is challenging..ballots with a vote for McCain/Palin and Franken on the same ballot.

15. He really thinks people don't vote split tickets??q
Up until Bush turned me into a complete Democrat, I voted split tickets all the time. Most Independents do.

Maybe this person liked Franken, but was a bit of a racist and couldn't vote for Obama based on their hang up. You never know.

6. Those two tiny white spaces in the bubble weren't filled.
It could have caused a computer problem like Scantron.

7. We would need to see the entire ballot in order to make a judgement.
I saw many ballots like there where the voter's intent seemed very clear.

But the voter made the mistake of writing their name or initials or something else stupid on the ballot, which is a no-no. The rules state that if you put anything on the ballot that can identify you, the ballot is automatically invalidated.

I saw a few like that when I was looking at them last week.

Some people are just too stupid to vote.

8. What about the rest of the ballot?
Did they do anything to spoil the ballot?

11. Minnesota is re-counting by hand, and...
...both sides are making frivolous challenges to temporarily lower the number of votes for the other side.

14. Coleman has challenged all ballots where voter voted for Mccain
I read that Normie has challenged all voters who voted for McCain and then voted for Franken because these voters obviously made a mistake.
