Wow - Delusional Much?
From the right-wing blog "America's Right"

"Brad Fregger said...
I think this fits better under this blog. I’m new to this site … I hope this is an okay thing to do.

In thinking about the Obama birth certificate issue I was trying to come up with a scenario that would solve all the problems and answer some vexing questions. Now, remember, I’m just a guy who operates a small publishing business out of my home … I have no connections and would probably be more surprised than most of you if this turned out to be true.

Here are the issues that my scenario depends upon:

1) Obama is ineligible to be president, either because he was not born here, or his citizenship was renounced when his mother married the man from Indonesia and moved there.
2) This fact was not proven early enough to stop the “Obama” Democratic nomination.
3) There is great concern about the potential for violence if the presidency is taken away from him.
4) Determining who would become president of the United States at this time would be almost impossible. The resulting lawsuits would clog the courts for years.

Accepting these issues as facts (if you think that’s a stretch, wait till you read the scenario), here we go. …

Because of the above, the current leaders of our nation, not including Reed or Pelosi and most of the liberal elite (who probably can’t be trusted), but definitely including the Clintons, were forced to come up with a solution that would cause the least amount of damage to our nation … so they decided to let Obama serve one term, under certain circumstances:

1) He would be moderate in his choices for cabinet decisions.
2) He would be strong against the fight against terrorism.
3) He would take the advice of his moderate cabinet and not the advice of the wacky liberal base.
4) He would choose Hillary as his secretary of state.

This was laid out for him, in no uncertain terms, when he met with President Bush. At that time, he was presented with absolute proof of his birth and the identity of his father, along with the proof that when he first came to the US he had an Indonesian passport and was determined to be an Indonesian citizen. At this time, he was told he had two choices: be stripped of the presidency, and, therefore, be the cause of massive violence throughout the US; or accept four years as president, announcing that he was not seeking a second term.

In addition, the conservative media has been told to please lay off this story, as a matter of national security; the liberal media didn’t have to be told, they wouldn’t touch it with a robotic arm.

While this scenario seems way out there, it does solve some major problems. In addition, it provides Hillary with a great opportunity to run in 2012. The added experience of secretary of state to her resume would make her a formidable candidate. I’m sure Bill would forsake any international speaking engagements for a couple of years under these conditions.

What do you think of this fantasy?

Some of us would like to know what the RWers and PUMAs are saying, so their lies can be countered with cold hard truth?

you didn't counter with any cold, hard truth. you just posted it and let it fly.

nice try.

now you should post something like: "but, but I was only...I'm helping, really, I was hoping to debunk this..." :eyes:

17. I think that most of us would stipulate that this is, as the OP noted, delusional.
There's no need to counter with anything. This insanity stands on its own as insanity.

28. The cold hard truth is that you are copying and pasting a post of a lunatic. Obama was born in
Hawaii. That makes him a natural born citizen. There were a few threads on this only a couple of days ago, complete with links. It has been proven over and over. There is no good reason to post some nutcase's post from some blog.

29. Your post says this guy must be smoking crack. Then you say his delusions have to be countered
with the cold hard truth? Huh? That is not computing. If you see someone on the street yelling nutty stuff, do you feel really compelled to counter their statements? Either you believe the guy is a nut, in which case there is no point in even posting his ramblings, or you think his statements are worthy of rebuttal. Which is it?

2. Well where would one begin?
"1) Obama is ineligible to be president, either because he was not born here, or his citizenship was renounced when his mother married the man from Indonesia and moved there."
He was born here. His Mom could not renounce his citizenship. He would have to do it himself and be 18 years of age.

"2) This fact was not proven early enough to stop the “Obama” Democratic nomination."
Fact? There is no fact to prove or disprove dumass.

"3) There is great concern about the potential for violence if the presidency is taken away from him."
Yeah OK.

"4) Determining who would become president of the United States at this time would be almost impossible. The resulting lawsuits would clog the courts for years."
Nope. The SCOTUS would review his legitimate COLB (another word for BC you freeper idiots) and point out the other Presidents who's parents were also children of immigrants which I am sure they would be more than willing to consider as Stare Decisis.

"Accepting these issues as facts"
What facts? Ramblings of a bunch of idiots does not facts make.

5. Yeah....
It's amazing how they take an idea completely unfounded in anything like reality or logic, and suddenly claim it's cold hard fact. Like the people crowing that Berg has taken his case to the supreme court as some proof that it's valid - when in fact the only reason it's there is two lower courts dismissed it.

It would require a conspiracy that isn't possible.

That many people can't keep their mouths shut...espicially if you throw RW talk radio in the mix...and oh yeah they are talking about it just not on Hannity and Rush. Reason being...there are even some theories too insane for Hannity and Rush.

9. They've come up with an explanation for why Obama is being reasonable.
Edited on Tue Nov-25-08 11:10 AM by yardwork
The freepers and their types can't accept the fact that Obama is actually a moderate, centrist politician with sensible plans. They've convinced themselves that he's a raving Marxist intent on destroying the nation and stealing their guns. How to explain Obama's sensible plans so far?

It must be that President Bush has something on Obama! It must be his birth certificate! That's it. That's the ticket.

You watch. For the next eight years all we'll hear about is how Obama is doing a good job *only* because of his "fake birth certificate."

edit: typos

14. Apparently now they are certain that Obama will be disqualified as president.
They're down to debating the details. If the "truth" comes out before the Electoral College votes, who will they elect? (Hillary, they think, but not by much.) Then, as a result of the disqualification, the "Marxists" (that's us) will "riot", but they will all be safe because they have bought extra guns before they are all banned.

And now wingnut-friendly behavior is being extorted by bush? Wow. Curiouser and curiouser.

16. If you read the post quoted in the OP carefully, you'll see they've come up with an alternate idea.
They've decided that Obama will be *allowed* to be president but he'll have to be centrist, not because he wants to be, but because if he isn't, they'll pull out the proof of non-citizenship. They've come up with a reason for his being centrist that doesn't force them to admit that they are bat-shit crazy and wrong about Obama.

If you read freeper threads on this, it seems there are a sufficient number of "pot stirrers" who pop in to say, "I heard <insert made up fact or point of law>" which ultimately gets regurgitated as established fact.

35. And the only people buying into this tripe....
....are the people who WANT to believe it. Anyone else - even people who don't like Obama politically - aren't touching it with a ten-foot pole.

It's not going to go away anytime soon though. Gary Kreep (yes, that's his real name - and appropriate too), the right-wing lawyer for Alan Keyes lawsuit, has gone on record as saying that everything Obama does - sign a bill, make a treaty, EVERYTHING - he and plantiffs he has lined up will challenge in court by claiming he's an "illegitimate president" and therefore anything he does while in office is null, void, and invalid. They're also trying to get troops to ignore anything Obama does for the military because he's not a REAL commander in chief (considering how much military personnel donated to Obama, yeah, good luck with that....)

It's basically an attempt to delegitimize Obama's administration, a classic right-wing ploy. Plus it plays to the racist groups AND to the vocal remains of PUMA, where much of this crap started or was fed.

36. Practicing law in federal court is a privilege, not a right. He could lose his.
Federal courts sanction lawyers who commit misconduct, and filing the kind of cases that lawyer has pledged to file would be such misconduct. I'll be surprised if he isn't slapped with massive sanctions, including attorney's fees to the government, and suspension of his right to practice in federal court.
