Let's not get too worked up about this...
Remember, a crappy Party picked a crappy Presidential candidate who picked a crappier Vice-Presidential candidate, and still managed to get nearly half the votes in the Election. Setting aside how people self-identify their party affiliation or how polls rates their abstract opinions, they'll vote Republican whenever we fail to provide a good alternative Candidate, or don't do our job when in office.

1. Sure, if the economic situation is better in four years than it is today,
Obama will get re-elected. Simple as that.
