I wonder why we're hearing about all these Cabinet picks
from the networks and the papers? Why aren't we hearing from Obama? It's frustrating, because I want to believe these picks are true... But I can't believe ... Because Obama hasn't announced them yet! Why hasn't he? Anybody have some answers?

2. I believe it is the process
of running it up the flag pole and seeing who salutes. If people react negatively, then Obama can not go with that person without ever having said he would. If it is positive enough, he can then appoint them.

6. If true, that doesn't give me great confidence in his leadership.
He ran such a perfect (and leak proof) campaign. The transition and hiring seem to be all whacky and discordant, just the opposite of the campaign.

In getting the media to focus on this, the Obama team is choosing the narrative. It sets back the Republicans attempts to blame Obama for the economy and stuff like that. Busy work and it doesn't hurt Obama at all.

5. Because the media wants to get scoops, so find out and announce before Obama announces.
But some of the leaks might be on purpose to test the waters before making a commitment.

I think Obama is trying to keep his choices secret. But the vetting process involves lots of people and is inherently leaky.

10. OMG, has anyone here even seen a transisition. Obama's is going great in comparison
to Bill Clinton's and Jimmy Carter's. And this is not a campaign.
