Durbin: Chicago Prosecutor has His Full Support

Senator Dick Durbin says he'd like to see Patrick Fitzgerald stay on the job as Chicago's U.S. attorney.
Today the illinois democrat said he'll recommend another term for the federal prosecutor if Fitzgerald wants to stay on the job because he's done a great job.

Durbin says he would ask president-elect Barack Obama to renominate him if that's what Fitzgerald wants.

Patrick Fitzgerald was in charge of the Plame investigation. Peter, no relation, originally recommended Patrick for northern IL attorney general.

Regarding the attorney scandal, there is evidence that Patrick was on a target list but no attempts were made to remove him.
