Lizard People?? - What's up w/the comedian(s) in Minnesota??
Did anyone see "Hardball"?.....They had a segment about the recount in Minnesota & they showed some of the ballots in question....

One person CLEARLY colored in the box next to Franken, BUT this same person also decided to either be a comedian or felt strongly about the Lizard People, as he wrote Lizard People atop the ballot and also in the write-in section....So, this ballot may get thrown out...:banghead:

While I would vote for the Lizard People over any Republican, doing silly stuff like the person did will only make things difficult for Franken...

2. There are consequences
for being a smart ass with your ballot. Take your rights seriously. I do.

4. I saw that ballot; Franken's name had the bubble filled in, the write-in didn't
And has David Icke moved to Minnesota?

9. Exactly...the bubble was filled in for Al
And while "Lizard People" was a write-in, the guy clearly chose Al Franken. So there.

6. Great... So instead of a president
We might get Jim Morrison as a monarch since he's the Lizard King or some such rubbish.

7. Truth and fiction...
"I come in peace," it said (...) "take me to your Lizard."

Ford Prefect, of course, had an explanation for this
(...)
"It comes from a very ancient democracy, you see..."

"You mean, it comes from a world of lizards?"

"No," said Ford, who by this time was a little more rational and coherent than he had been, having finally had the coffee forced down him, "nothing so simple. Nothing anything like to straightforward. On its world, the people are people. The leaders are lizards. The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people."

"Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy."

"I did," said ford. "It is."

"So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?"

"It honestly doesn't occur to them," said Ford. "They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates to the government they want."

"You mean they actually vote for the lizards?"

"Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course."

"But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?"

"Because if they didn't vote for a lizard," said Ford, "the wrong lizard might get in. Got any gin?"

Douglas Adams, So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish.

I can't actually add anything to this. Has anyone seen Obama's tongue?

14. ... but what is their stand on Universal Health Care...
... nationalizing the energy industry, and allowing their own to feast on the flesh of Neoconservatives, Dominionist Christianists, and Objectivists?

These issues need to be discussed in open debate between the candidates!

10. One of these lizard people might make a great running mate for Palin in 2012...
They'll need a good slogan and hard-hitting posters.

12. 2.9 million votes, one for Lizard People.. Honestly, given the number of votes I am surprised
there are not more like that.

It makes as much sense as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck or Bill O'Reilly as write in votes for President in Florida
