1. Perhaps there should be an "other"?
Sorry, I forgot.

2. I only have two problems thus far.....
Edited on Thu Nov-20-08 08:13 PM by Azimov
which is that Obama is choosing to many Clinton administration rehashes, is this change? Surely he can find qualified individuals who weren't part of the Clinton years. Not that I have anything against Clinton but it seems like hes playing into the whole "he MUST govern from the center" bullshit.

Edit: And that he supported keeping Joe Lieberman which was infuriating because nothing good will come from it.

4. Actually...
it just goes to show how many people have me on Ignore.

Especially those who disagree with many of Obama's decisions.

6. Consider it a badge of honor.
I'm in wait & see mode. Any change for the positive will be 1,000,000x better than what we've got now. I'm sure I will want to rant & rave at President Obama at some time in the future, but there's so much work to be done, I'll leave it to him to set the priorities for the time being. I do think he's shown he's a little smarter than me.

5. In Obama I trust right now
I second guessed him before Iowa, after NH, with his response to Rev. Wright, with his VP pick, with his giving Hillary and Bill their own nights at the convention, with his response(or lack of response)to Palin, and on and on. I think he knows what he is doing.

9. I'm not concerned...
I think he will pick those people that he believes will best help him to implement his plans. I don't have to like someone in order to respect their talents.

10. It's not that they are not all good people - guess I expected something different
I expected a real shake up of government. Not putting people in there just as
payback for campaign support (although they are ok people). I expected him to
look for the most brilliant people in the field. I expected non-traditional politicians.
Brainiacs.

It's not that I am not happy - just not what was expected.

11. Ditto - but if "outsiders" haven't worked previously...
with the Carter or Clinton administrations, or lead to a slow start, then anything that kickstarts Obama's new government would be a good thing... I guess.

If picking high-profile people means that they are taken seriously when it comes to implementing OBAMA'S Agenda, then I'll be okay.

But I'm waiting to see it.
