David Corn and Jeremy Scahill on DemocracyNow today - heads UP
This debate today reflects the debate here for the last week.

Superb

Once again, Pacifica Radio hits it out of the park.

Scahill said if Obama wants alternatives to facilitate his transition, and serve in his cabinet, he should look at Democracy Now archives, where ALL Bush critics have been given a voice.

I thought that was riotously funny and cool... even though I'm more inclined to agree with Mr. Corn from Mother Jones.

anyhow... go listen... it's worth doing

have a nice day

1. Scahill
Basically, I like Jeremy Scahill but sometimes he irritates me. He is so negative about Obama. Back during the election, I noticed this and he just keeps it up. We are not going to get a far-left liberal administration and, furthermore, no one too far left could get elected in this country. Personally, I'm as liberal as they come but I recognize that we have to be flexible. For instance, I hated Obama's saying that Jerusalem should be undivided and remain in Israeli control; at the same time, I know he had to have the Jewish vote to get elected. We rooted for this man, knowing full well that he campaigned on being a compromise president. Back in '04 at the Dem convention, he spoke out about not having a blue or a red America. I say we have to understand that politicians, even the best as we think Obama is, can't just ramrod through a progressive agenda. Half of this country is politically to the right and we can't just flip them off. We have to try to convert them, at least many of them who will see that an Obama administration will be so much better for the country.
