Hillary as Secretary of State will finally put Bill to Bed
Edited on Wed Nov-19-08 03:59 PM by Roberto1223
I have to admit that I am swooning at the prospect of seeing Senator Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State. She would do a TERRIFIC job as Secretary of State, she would restore respect and pride to our Foreign Corps, but she would have one up on Bill...she would finally be free of the Bill mystique and nobody would measure her through the magnifying glass of Bill's legacy and business dealings. She would have been vetted completely and when the 2016 comes around she will be the heir apparent to Obama, no questions asked. I know that many at DU do not like Hillary and that is OK, we live in a society where debate and discussion is part of our fabric. I love her and I love Obama. I think that we are fortunate in our Party to have extremely talented candidates for every position...just look at the Republicans, still trying to live in the past recycling their old and tired philosophy and candidates. I hope that Milady becomes SOS.

1. Shouldn't Biden be the heir apparent to Obama as Vice President?
Sure Hillary can run against him in the primaries again, but I don't see her as the heir apparent. Actually, I think a younger person will rise in the ranks again and neither Biden nor Clinton will be the Democratic candidate in 2016. A younger electorate will consider them too old.

2. Biden will be around 70. Not gonna run for President 2016, I predict
that he will not run for VP in 2012 either, he will go back to Delaware and Obama will select a new VP...perhaps, ...hmmm...Milady

3. He'll be 73 just after election day. Not impossible, but unlikely.
Hillary will be 69 and is in great shape.

Hillary for SoS now. Hillary as VP in 2012?

Hmmm.

6. I don't think she'll be VP in 2012 but I DO think she has a shot at the nomination in 2016
Lets keep our fingers crossed. I want the next 16 years to be amazing not just the next 8 :-D

4. I love Hillary, Joe and Barack.....
It's absolutely wonderful we have those three at the top. Hillary will be our next SOS. I have no doubt, but I don't think she will run for President in 2016. Joe won't either. That's imho.

7. Swoooooon.
Swooon, swoooon.

I bet I can swoon harder than you can. I have a life-sized cardboard cutout of Hillary in my bedroom. Two, actually, one standing right next to the bed and one taped to the ceiling over my bed so that she's the last thing I see when I close my eyes at night (O brite angel flying so near to thee!) and the first thing I see when I open my eyes in the morning (my soul flyes up it flyes up at the site of thee).

I have a lot of tape recordings of her voice (I can't say how I got them, ok?) and I actually figured out how to program one of them into my iHome alarm clock so that I am awakened by Hillary's crystal laughter, her infectious giggle, and the sound of her whispering in my ear "If I want to knock a story off the front page, I just change my hairstyle." Oh that minx! That vixen!
That ingénue!

I believe she is an angel sent straight from heaven.

Anyway, I also have samples of her hair and a used tissue of hers that my husband keeps trying to get me to sell on ebay (for the money and because he says it's gross--whatever!) but I will never part with these. I keep them in a plastic shoebox in the gun safe.

She is truly m'lady! I plan on asking her out soon.

15. Don't feel bad for Richardson. I think he
will end up being our Ambassador to the UN. At least I hope.

14. If Napalitano is in the Admin for two terms. She is going to have a heck of a resume
And will still be young. My guess is she would be the favorite to run after Obama. Not sure Hillary would be able to beat her out
