REID: lieberman to stay with dems and hold HLS chair
Edited on Tue Nov-18-08 11:55 AM by nomaco-10
Reid says "we are moving forward and lieberman is a good dem, we need the majority."

What a disappointment.

2. I know it's a secret ballot but is the actual vote COUNT available?
I'd be interested in knowing how many spineless Democrats there are in the Senate. I can pretty much guess WHO they are already.

he did too.

7. Oh, yeah, typical Washington Democrats....
How cynical is this type of shit? Losing Lieberman will not hurt the Dems. If the vote is going to be that close on a controversial subject, Lieberman is NOT going to vote for it anyway and most likely will the most conservative Dems.

I'm so sick and tired of the non-accountable, Washington Dems that STILL exist. What bullshit. The man goes around campaigning against other Dems and does absolutely NO over site of the Bushies and is fucking rewarded for it.

11. Disgusting
Joe should be stripped of everything and thrown into the crowd. I know Obama wants to bring the parties together but anyone that advocated the * policies should be turned away from decision making. They followed * to the gets of hell they need to step through! They never had any ideas to begin with so why do we need them now?

14. Reid: "Lieberman is a GOOD DEM" and I guess us so called "far" left wingers
aren't. In other words, if you don't support lieberliar and aren't willing to forgive, you're just leftwing loons.

UTTERLY DISAPPOINTING

18. Reid
So full of shit!Lieberman a good democrat? What reality Is he in? He lost the senate primary then runs as a Independent.Does this mean all democrats should run as Independents If they losr the primary? Imagne If Dean or Hillary would have done the same.

Lieberman as chair of the homeland security committee has killed any Investigations Into Katrina or
Blackwater/no bid contracts

he claimed In 2006 he was for a democratic president In 2008 yet endorsed Mccain over Obama and
Hillary who both campaigned for Lieberman against Ned Lamont during the primary battle.

Lieberman launced personal attacks on Obama

Lieberman stood and watched as Palin made her paling with terrorists attacks

Lieberman stood and watched as Mccain attacked Democrats Including Reid himself

Lieberman campagined for other republicans.

Besides voting for Reid as majority leader and giving money to the DNSC can anyone really cite evidance over the last 2 years as standing with Democrats.

The only way we will get to 60 seats with Lieberman Is If Obama campagins for Jim martin In Georgia. And so far that doesn't look like It Is happening.

Reid has rewarded Lieberman. He can do whatever he wants. This sets a bad percendent for some to do whatever they want.

If Lieberman were to go with the Republicans he Is done.Ask Chris Says how well New England Is
treating Republicans even so called Moderate Republicans.

Lieberman Is a threat as chair of the homeland security committee. He can use It to attack Obama
and the Democrats.Once the new congress Is sworn In he can't be removed till after the 2010
election. And after that he could try to help sabotage Obama's reelection.

Democrats need to get on the ball.If they want to keep the control over the government they have won they need to start on real change.Removing Lieberman as Homeland security chair would have been
a first sign for those who worked for change.
