Please be careful, President Obama. I am very big on safety (thanks to my job) and one must always use the handrail.

1. I don't. Cringing at every theoretical opportunity for harm is no way to live a life.

4. Just remind yourself, 'He's not W'.
He won't trip down the stairs, choke on a pretzel and pass out, nor will he be dropping the new puppy.

9. Yup. Obama played basketball in school and college, not football.
No frequent hits to the head to scramble the brains.

14. Ford was probably the best athlete ever to serve as president
A very good football player (played on the 1935 Collegiate All Star Team, and was offered a pro contract), coached boxing and cheerleading, was a pretty good golfer and an avid skiier. It's ironic that he came to be seen as a klutz.

13. I did that once, caught my heel, did a full somersault.
I think the pressure change had made me slightly lightheaded. Now I ALWAYS have a hand at the rail - don't necessarily touch it, but ready to grab.

Bilbo from Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring

"It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to."

21. You know how we all have those nitemares about falling? .....
... in mine, I'm falling down steps. Always wake up as i'm hitting the ground.

So yeah, I know what you mean. Like the footage of him and Hillary deplaning back in June or whenever it was. He's just talking and looking around all over the place! And I'm look "LOOK WHERE YOU'RE GOING!!!"

You and I must have seen the same clip because I had just been thinking about that.

Brave young man! Brave and true! ;)
