It would show bi-partisanship. We know McCain is a sell-out ass kisser, he would likely fold to his newest master. And, we have a Dem Governor in Arizona. Get us another Senate Seat?

But McCain is far too conservative on the issues... I do predict that this thread will get burning hot in a short while though.

7. This would send kind of mixed signals.
McCain is campaigning for Chambliss against Martin in the Georgia runoff Senate seat election. Obama has sent hundreds if not thousands of people to Martin to help him in the runoff election. Obama works closely with McCain???

8. Did McCain supporters vote for Obama? Did his nomination depend on these votes?
Like with Hillary supporters? No. Therefore the answer is no.

24. Well he was wrong about deregulation, about the Iraq War, and his campaign finance reform
was full of holes. If a lack of judgment and wisdom is a criteria, he'll be a shoo in. And of course, he has name recognition and is well versed in the ways of Washington (and for many that seems to be what counts).

McCain is to the right of most Democrats on domestic agenda. Foreign agenda is more typically bi-partisan but McCain's staunch neocon philosophy is to the right of many republicans. If a republican becomes a cabinet member or other adviser to Obama, my guess it will be in the foreign policy area and they will be of the Lugar/Hagel/Powell stripe. The only area I could see McCain is some kind of an effort re: lobbyists.

29. This is a really funny beginning to a joke. I just don't have a punch line.
Nothing that's funny and not mean. McCain kind of sold out his Maverick status to make his run. He comes across in his loss as kind of sad. The campaigning for hate merchant Chambliss just makes him sadder. I don't think McCain has much of a future except maybe in the Senate for awhile. I guess he could do Viagra ads. Obama doesn't need him in any spot except maybe as a across the aisle person in the Senate on a few select issues (Immigration, etc.).
