Right now, Obama is assembling a White House staff. He won't even make a decision on key cabinet appointments until he's appointed special counsels and his full legal team to do the vetting.

The campaign has announced there will be no cabinet announcements until after Thanksgiving. That means we probably won't get a cabinet appointment until early December.

For people to freak out over names being thrown about is ridiculous. Most of these are based on flimsy hearsay. Others have more basis in reality but are still nothing more than names being tossed around by the Obama team. Nobody knows for sure who's going to be in what cabinet position and it's fairly doubtful that even Obama himself has made a decision. Many key appointments will probably go to people that few people are familiar with. So let's wait until things actually get announced to start freaking out. This is like monitoring the veepstakes in May.
