Whats up with the Clinton SOS leak?

I gotta tell you, something smells with this whole thing.

I am not surprised at all that Hillary would be considered, what I am surprised about is that the info was leaked out.

Andrea Mitchell has always been very close to the Clintons and the Clinton team. Andrea said these leaks came from people she has known for years.

Connecting the dots, Obama hired many Clinton alumni as part of the transition team. Before these new faces were on board, there were NO leaks, none.

The only thing that makes sense to me is former Clinton staffers currently hired for the transition were the ones who leaked this. This to me is reminiscent of the weird leaked tactics during the primary in which she was supposedly being considered for Veep. The ONLY leak that came out during the VEEP process was also about Clinton.

Something smells, and if in fact this leak was meant to force Obama's hand then she may find herself without a spot on the team.

But I would bet that Andrea jumped the gun...I mean, it wouldn't surprise me if Hillary was being considered, but Andrea does reporting that I don't trust all of the time. Remember when she said during the primaries that Hillary was calling up superdelegates and saying that Obama couldn't win because he was black? And I remember how she was always stirring up trouble between the Obama/Clinton fundraisers after the primary. I am more surprised that they leaked to HER, which makes me think that she just jumped the gun to get the SCOOP!

I don't think she jumped the gun, I think she reported what she sourced from 2 staffers. Why clarify your sources unless she feels confident?

I dont doubt there was a leak but again, the only leak about VP came from her camp when Obama was choosing.

I pointed out this last night, and was raked over the coals for daring to point out the obvious.

6. LOL... I've suffered that fate here many times as well.

The unfortunate result of the drippy, drip, drip leakage coming from those "in the know" is that Obama is looking less and less in control of his own people and not-ready-for-primetime. Of course, I don't believe that is true. But someone needs to get the folks around him to clam up. Unless of course the leakage is intentional.

15. I thought it was intentional, at first.

I didn't even bother to post anything here on DU until hours later. Rachel had Andrea on her show and flat out asked her if her name was simply being floated out as a trial balloon or as a genuine leak. She said she was certain that it was a leak and not a trial balloon. I am not sure why Andrea would say that, and then be quick to point out that her two sources she has known for "years".

So, my line of thinking is that it must be two people in the know and in the Clinton inner circle (or very close to it). The reason I pointed that out, last night, is because it is obvious who benefits from the leak and who is hurt by it. I do not even know why Hillary would want the position, but she flew to Chicago yesterday. In any event what is done is done. I just hope Obama fines the source of the leak and gives them the axe and uses him/her as an example for others.
