They Lost..........

so how come the media is paying more attention to the losers than the winners. Soon I expect to have a All Palin - All The Time News Channel.

Who are her handlers now that the campaign is over? You can see two very distinct portions of comments in her speech to the RGA.

1. The folksy Palin - that just jammers on making no sense and

2. The programmed Palin - that is reading something someone else wrote for her and wants her to say.

She is being backed by some faction of the party - and if I were the other factions - I'd be pissed - because she is a complete and utter idiot.

I heard yesterday that she was either going to call or talk to Hillary Clinton. I really would like to hear what Hillary really thinks of Palin.

2. I agree completely...and just to be clear...

I want to hear what HILARY Clinton thinks of her..not what SENATOR Clinton has to say...in other words...I don't want a politically correct assessment of Palin. I want Hil to be brutally honest and tear her to shreds, but I doubt that will ever happen. I can't tell you what I'd give to go behind closed doors with ANY of our guy/gals and listen to them unload about Palin.

The winners -- Obama and his team -- are smart people. They know that if they are the focus of media attention now, 2 months before the inauguration, several things are likely to happen, none of the good. First, the media will try to pick apart anything and everything they say and do. Second, the public's expectations that Obama can "fix" everything the day after he's sworn in will be raised. Finally, by waiting, Obama keeps the public's anticipation for and interest in his inauguration high. THere is no "exhaustion" factor. ANd when he does deliver his speech, in front of the largest audience to ever witness such a speech, it will put the media back on their heels and force them to give him at least the semblance of a honeymoon period, something that they wouldn't be as inclined to do if he was all over the news now, before the swearing in.
