Sarah Palin is stalking America
Josh Marshall: She Needs Help

Steve Benen: LET IT GO, GOV.... There are plenty of reasons to be glad the presidential election is over...some folks apparently aren't quite ready to move on just yet.

Chimes at Midnight: Someone needs to take Sarah Palin aside and quietly tell her that she and McCain LOST the election a week ago

Michael J.W. Stickings:

With the election now over, pretty much, I really don't want to waste much time on as loathsome a creature as Sarah Palin. I wrote about her extensively during the campaign, but what I may not have expressed explicitly -- though it was certainly there implicitly -- was my utter contempt for her. There are few political figures I despise as much as I came to despise her. She is, as I put it, an ignorant thug and an arrogant twit. Simply put, she was, given her place on the presidential ticket of a major party, an embarrassment to the United States. And nothing has changed since the election. She is still utterly clueless yet still thinks she has some sort of God-given right to impose herself on the American people.

Sarah, it's over. We were never going anywhere together. Move on. You've got a life. Stay out of mine!

probably believes she can keep this up until 2012.

There is a thing called ignore. You're not going to prevent the entire world or everyone on DU from using the word bitch. Everyone tried to make the term into a cute thing after SNL. Sarah Palin has been called worse and she has earned it.

9. Of course the funny thing is that the Palin rehab tour is just producing even
more fodder for the mill, she's a constant stream of nonsensical bullshit. I think the makers of the word "Also" must have some agreement with her because she says it about 5 times a sentence.

28. I'm listening to Larry King
I think her sixth(?) child would have been named "also". I've got a feeling someone in the DOD is recording this and sending it to Gitmo for some cruel and unusual punishment.

I'd confess to just about anything if I had to listen to her on a loop.

30. Take away "there" and "that" from her vocabulary, and the networks ...
... will save a lot of air time.

And someone stole all the "g's" from her vocabulary, and that's the only reason she keeps talkin' and smilin' and plannin' for 2012.

10. Can America get a TRO (temporary restraining order)?
Your honor, the afforesaid Governor Palin just will not leave me alone. We broke up a week ago Tuesday but she keeps following me everywhere. I turn on Larry King and there she is... I flip over to Fox and she follows me there too... She just won't accept the fact that I don't want to see her anymore and I'm rather concerned for my safety your honor... She has said rather frigtening threatening things in public before we broke up that makes me think she will become violent towards me and she apparently owns a number of guns as well.

I just need some space and some peace your honor.. I mean how long will it be before I turn on Nick at Night or the Home Shopping Network and I have to face her again?

Please, all I'm asking for is a temporary retraining order to keep her at least 100 yards away from me.

Thanks,

Sincerely,
The American Public

13. How true - what is the media's fascination with her?
Their Palin love at least makes me feel better (sort of) in there lack of enthusiasm for some of the politicians I'm most impressed with. I now can simply but it down as their bad taste.

19. This is the dangerous part of her presence in the media: she is mainstreaming her ideas.
As much as a "word salad" Sarah Palin makes in each interview, it all comes down to one thing: her extremist ideas are being softened down and made palatable by the MSM. And if these ideas get repeated, then it allows others to think that what she is saying is perfectly all right.

This is scary that such a person is getting this much air time. It could almost amount to propaganda in some circles.

Now if her sympathetic base grows (especially if there are an amount of folks who feel angry about Obama becoming president), we'll have to deal with Sarah whipping up these hate-mongers and getting a pass for it because her views have been taken as part of the mainstream.

Someone has to stop this in its tracks. If they don't, they'll have to put up with this woman as President one day in the future.

I doubt anyone wants that to happen.

21. I don't think she will can run in 2012 even if she wants to...
Anyone hear the reporter on MSNBC tonight who is at the repuke gov meeting? The other repuke govs are none too happy with Palin..they don't even seem to want her THERE. She said they are all purposely focusing their meetings on 2010 and NOT 2012 because they don't even want to talk about the next prez election while Palin is in the room. Sounds like if they could kick her out of the governor convention and back to AK, they would do it in a heartbeat.

The reporter was pretty damn blunt about their dislike of Palin. So while it may look like she is "all that" still because she is putting herself out there for these interviews, she doesn't seem to stand a snowball's chance in hell of getting any kind of GOP support in **anything** anytime soon. This is just Palin creating the illusion of her still mattering. She may be on the TV now what seems like 24/7 but it is not apparently with the GOP blessing.

23. She's a narcissist.
She's a fucking narcissist with an incessant need for attention and approval. She needs praise and adulation. Losing is almost incomprehensible to someone like her, because it doesn't match the false image she wants to present to the public. "People like me don't lose," she says to herself. So there she goes in front of the cameras, pretending that she's still something worth considering beyond her abject failure as a vice presidential candidate. But she's worth nothing. Her 15 minutes of national political fame are done, and she likely will not accept that.

She's someone to pity. She's someone to ignore.

29. Good. The more she stalks, the more the country will be wary of her. She already
has lost the approval of more than 1/2 the electorate...people already didn't like her. And people were tired of the election...they were ready for it to be over. She is continuing to put herself out there and people don't really want to see or hear from her, except in a train-wreck sort of way. She's hurting herself and the Repukes by association.

40. GOP governors unhappy with Palin press conference
November 13, 2008

GOP governors unhappy with Palin press conference

From CNN Correspondent Dana Bash

Some GOP governors weren't happy with how Palin's press conference unfolded. (Getty Images)

MIAMI (CNN) — Some Republican governors tell CNN they were not particularly happy with the way the Republican Governors Association press conference was executed Thursday, saying that they agreed to go as a show of GOP governors’ unity — but they ended up feeling like silent Palin supporters, since it was clearly a press conference called for her.

The GOP governors spoke to CNN on condition of anonymity.

One called it awkward: “I’m sure you could see it on some of our faces.”

Another Republican governor eyeing a presidential run in 2012 told CNN the event was “odd” and “weird,” and said it “unfortunately sent a message that she was the de facto leader of the party."

There has been palpable tension among some GOP governors gathered in Miami that Palin has been sucking up all the media oxygen.

Sorry, you all own her.
