Stevens' lead is narrowing.

At the Anchorage Daily News website, they are tracking the counting of the absentee ballots.

The elections division still has tens of thousands of ballots left to count today and even more next week, but the latest numbers show Stevens' lead is down to 971 votes.

The new numbers, reflecting nearly 28,000 newly counted absentee ballots, are from all over the state. Election night, Stevens led the Democratic Begich by about 3,000 votes.

There are still a lot of votes to be count, keep your fingers croseed.

Just an additional thought, seems funny that you can't get a job at so many places, even if its a security guard or anything, if you have a felony conviction, but you BETCHAAA you can be a U.S Senator even if you are a fellon.

16. K&R. In Alaska, what is a "questioned ballot". Is it a provisional ballot?

How many ballots were "questioned" because of "voter ID" requirements or other restrictive measures that were not in force four years ago?
