Obama Release on Phone Calls


Throughout the day today, President-elect Obama returned phone calls to world leaders and expressed his appreciation for their congratulations on his election. Today, President-elect Obama spoke with the following leaders:

· President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva of Brazil;

· His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI;

· Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of India;

· His Majesty King Abdullah of Jordan;

· President Mwai Kibaki of Kenya.

5. Don't think I'm a fan of Pope Palpatine, but...
in his defense, he wasn't a very good Nazi. He joined the Hitler Youth only when forced, he deserted his military unit near the end of WWII, he just didn't have the Nazi spirit.

Granted, today, I think his positions are completely obnoxious, and he does a disservice to the Catholic Church.

Kenya has obviously moved towards the top of the list of US friends. Quite a promotion.
