how tragic: The Hillary Clinton Forum shuts its doors.
The Hillary Clinton Forum was a truly disgusting PUMA site run by tombstoned DUer Muzza. It was at least as hateful and delusional as Freeperville. The admin over there tried to convert it to a more open forum and the inmates had conniptions. Bye, bye freaks. You'll have to find somewhere new to spew your sick hate against President Obama.
(Lest anyone think I'm attacking Hillary, or her real supporters, I'm not. The denizens of said foru were largely wingnuts, and I think that's why Muzza/Murray had to shut it down)

November 11, 2008

After 9 months, and after devoting seemingly thousands of hours to the administration of this forum, it's time to draw the curtain. I hope those who participated in the HCF during the election found the experience productive. It was like a rollercoaster, and we had some amazing times, that's for sure. Now, however, it's time for me (& maybe you all too!) to take a rest. For me "the battle" is over. I had wanted to move the forum in a different direction to be more inclusive of all people, regardless of political preference, but clearly now is not the right time for that. As such, I have tonight decided, without endless discussion & division, to close the forum until further notice. Maybe in the future some time we can try again at "CommonGroundPolitics" when emotions are less raw. Til then, be well.

Best of luck to everyone,

2. Odd stuff.
I have numerous relatives and friends who were -- and still are -- strong supporters of Senator Hillary Clinton. None of them behaved in the manner of this strange group.

6. Of course not more than half the people turned on Hillary.
They were racist republicans determined to keep a black man out of the white house.

Their hate isn't quite as blatant, but it's still obvious.

Here, the former PUMAtroll club obsesses over the idea of an "Obama holiday"....

18. I find it sad/funny...
...That Capitol Hill are calling themselves "a haven for independent activists", and yet their signup says "By registering at Capital Hill you are acknowledging that you are 18 years of age or older and are not an Obama supporter. "

*rolls eyes*

I notice several prominent (or formerly prominent) DUers over there talking trash about Obama and DU (or OU as they call it). Schmucks.

12. I'm sad. That site gave me so many laughs over the past year.
They're all scum of the earth, but their insane hypocrisy ("I'm not sending my HUGE CHECK that I always send to NARAL this month, because they endorsed Obama!" ..next post.. "OBAMA IS A BABY KILLER!") always had me rolling.

Gonna miss it.

13. I feel bad for the person who ran that site. They tried very hard since the election
To tone down some of the hate, and allow Obama supporters in so they could try to at the very least agree to disagree. Unfortunatley though, when the fires of hate are stoked that long and intensley, that toothpaste isn't going back in the tube. Kudos to them for at least trying though.

17. Understand.....
The community at WesPAC is much the same way. Despite Gen. Clark and Sen. Clinton endorsing and campaigning for President-elect Obama, there were people there that were completely unwilling to listen to any Obama "kool-aid drinker" and willing always to believe the worst.

And they were tame compared to HCF or some of the other PUMA litterboxes.

16. They were RWers which was made obvious by their list of reasons to NOT vote for Obama, from
his choice of SC judges (which wouldn't be different from Hillary's choices) to his position on healthcare and the economy (which THEY call "Socialist" yet wouldn't be much different from Hillry's positions.) It's so obvious they were never Dems.

My favorite day during the elections when the thousands of HillaryClintonforum.net members (actually 30 people) banged their pots and pans at the today show.

27. What a way to rekindle the fights that we had here during the Primaries
Oh, they are over? Not for the Hillary haters, apparently.

Not surprising, though, It was clear that for many, stopping bashing both Clintons is an addiction that will be hard to give up.

Here is an idea. If you have nothing constructive to contribute, go away from the computer.

For me, I have to rake and bag leaves.

29. rake and bag leaves v. Hillary supporter fear. Isn't that a false dichotomy?
:hurts:

How many people support their sports team or candidate or their city to the point where they don't hear criticism at all...it is all hate? How does that work exactly?

30. Oh man, those people were the nuttiest of the nuts. They actually thought their pathetic forum would
make a difference. They were lost souls whose only mission was to keep Obama out of office using "Plan B" as they called it. Bunch of whiny little cry babies who just couldn't stand not having things their way. Good ridance!
