It seems Bush is holding the 700 billion dollars hostage.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/11/10/bush-open-to-stimulus-pac_n_142866.html

WASHINGTON -- The struggling auto industry was thrust into the middle of a political standoff between the White House and Democrats on Monday as President-elect Barack Obama urged President Bush to support immediate emergency aid.

Mr. Bush indicated at the meeting that he might support some aid and a broader economic stimulus package if Mr. Obama and Congressional Democrats dropped their opposition to a free-trade agreement with Colombia, a measure for which Mr. Bush has long fought, people familiar with the discussion said.

So the future of our country's economy essentially balances on whether or not GM/Ford collapses, and this asshole says he MIGHT give them money if Obama gets a FTA passed with Colombia? Why? So Bush has a steady supply-line of cocaine after he leaves office?

1. Once they go through $350 bil, the Bushies have to come back to congress.
If Bush won't use some of the money to fund the automakers bailout, congress will sit his other $350 bil in the $700 billion package.

2. But why is he even entertaining the idea of not giving money to the automakers?
That's what I don't get.

Why are some banks allowed to fails, and others are given money?

5. That lying little monkey isn't holding up anything. His handlers are.
And they have no intention of putting any money anywhere that doesn't benefit them. They don't care about GM, jobs, or the people who will soon be unemployed.

They have Hank's buddies to take care of.
