The Republicans on TV this morning are saying that this country is still center right and dismissing Tuesday's results as historic only because of Obama's race. As someone said in another thread, that is icing on the cake, but the GOP's grasp is failing miserably.

1. They're saying that because McLoser's concession speech essentially said
the same thing. Which is why I thought it was disgusting and not the 'wonderful' speech others seemed to think it was.

2. GMBMC did not just kick and rec this thread because Obama is black
I did it because wndycity is right!

We handed them their asses, and they can take that "center right" shit and jam it right there too.

3. And, what did the white half do to them?
Why can't we move on to the fact Obama is a fine young man who is our 44th President? The poor guy has paid such a heavy price for his ancestry, but still managed to win the most phenomenal campaign in our history.

I swear our society has been dumbed down so much, we can't recognize intelligence when it's in our faces.

I suppose his speeches are too complicated for the Repugs to understand. Their bigotry makes me sick.

7. many Democrats agree
Many Democrats agree that "this country is still center right" and are arguing that the party should govern on that basis. In fact, they argue that the election wins prove that conservatism is the way to go and that the Left is irrelevant.
