Young Bush called "Grapes of Wrath" corny
I looked up the professor referenced in an LBN thread, found this:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A42720-2004Aug28.html

One suspects few of these can be found at Harvard University, where the Harvard Crimson newspaper reported last month that one of Bush's former business school professors had unkind words to say about the future president's academic prowess. Yoshihiro Tsurumi said Bush scored in the bottom 10 percent in Tsurumi's class on "Environment Analysis for Management."

Tsurumi reports Bush was "always very shallow" and "flippant." The prof allows that he was sore because after telling his class to watch "The Grapes of Wrath," Bush hurt Tsurumi's feelings by calling it "corny."

1. wow environmental analysis is basic critical thinking skills
I remember the dumbasses in my MBA class who just didnt get it in that class - I wouldn't want them running my lemonade stand let alone my healthcare, retirement and security.

3. I'm sure the Young Chimp just LOVED "The Fountainhead", though
The movie, that is. He certainly couldn't have managed the book all by his lonesome.

5. George thought it was "corny" that someone might not have enough
to eat. Didn't fit with his experience among the "have mores".

That's the sort of thing you'd hear from a high schooler.
Not a graduate student.
Eh, that's our George.

9. Isn't that the same Prof who said * told him how he got int the Guard?
How strings were pulled to get * in the TANG. The Prof was on the news the other night. And this same Prof was interviewed on Majority Report some time ago. It was the interview where he went in depth about how shallow Bush* was at the time and what an awful student he was, too.

10. Whatta frickin dope
Of course, all old movies are "corny" on a certain level. Once you take into account when a movie was made, then you can watch it and perceive it's other qualities. "The Grapes of Wrath" is brilliant, beautiful and haunting on all levels. It's worth watching alone just to see the actors that played Ma and Pa Joad, and Henry Fonda. They were amazing.
