13. She asked him
a multi-part question on his new level of intelligence briefs. He answered it well, without saying anything that republicans could point to and complain.

27. My first speculative thought.
The almost-real brief.

Options:

1. Quietly shut the programs/s down.
2. Continue with the program/s.
3. Address the nation.
4. Evaluate the briefers. Then act.
5. Wait and watch.
6. Other.

15. If I remember right
she asked him what about our intelligence needs to change and whether or not the agencies are communicating well enough with each other. At first he stated that our intelligence has recently gotten better but that there is always room for improvement. When he wasn't specific enough for her, she pressed the issue. He replied that he would "skip that".

25. She asked if there was anything he'd learned that gave him pause
Then he said he'd skip that.. which wasn't a dismissal but a smart and correct answer.

17. She asked a question
some where along the lines of "You had new access to intelligence today. Do you think there are problems with intelligence and the way it is shared between agencies and the way it is gathered."

He commented that he wanted to work on streaming line sharing but then refused to answer the second part of her question.

It was also kind of funny b/c she seemed kind of nervous, stammered when asking her question.

31. She also asked him
if there was anything that he heard that gave him "pause". I read it as her essentially asking Obama if the intelligence briefing gave him proof as to some areas where he was perhaps naive. He dismissed the question, respectfully, just like he should have done. Obviously Candy is still upset that McCain lost.

29. It went like this:
Candy Crowley asked whether the President-Elect had seen anything in the new, high-level intelligence that might give him pause about things he'd said earlier in the campaign.

Obama answered her that our intelligence can always be improved upon, but that he wouldn't comment about specifics of national security. Then he asked her if that was a two-part question.

Crowley said, "Well, yes, absent what you've heard, I meant, is there anything that has given you pause?"

Obama: "I'm gonna skip that."

Very, very presidential. Me likey!

33. Well seriously, did she really expect him to say
"Oh yeah, there was this one thing that really made me go 'SHIT, that's WILD' and it was this: ...."

No fucking way anyone's going to say that. He was totally correct in saying "I'm going to skip that" and he didn't say it in an ugly way, either. Just very matter-of-fact.
