Poll question: What's the percentage chance that Lieberman is "hurt" and "surprised"
Edited on Fri Nov-07-08 12:26 AM by Walter Sobchak
by the eventual decision to take away his Homeland Security chairmanship?

Lieberman's better at playing the victim than just about anyone. No matter how this turns out, Lieberman will spout off about how he has only acted in the best interest of the country, and that the Democrats stabbed him in the back for having independence.

I have a strong feeling this guy's going to be a thorn in our side for another 4 years.

1. I hope that is true. If Lieberman plans to be an Obama obstructionist...
...then he may have Blue CT & Blue New England to answer to.

3. Well, Reid tried to appease him by
offering Lieberman a leadership role in a lesser committee if he agreed to continue caucusing with Democrats. But Lieberman refused the offer.

If you ask me, I say fuck him. He won't get us to 60 anyway, so he's useless. He should be happy picking up the Democrats' trash at this point.

6. I agree. If they turn their back on him for a second, he'll stab them in the back
yet again.

8. If they oust him from the committee he's currently in, lobbyists won't want to be pals anymore....
And if they ignore his evil ass, he'll become Republican, and Republicans are no longer the dominant party so Israel will no longer be interested in doing business with him. His life as he knew it, will be over.

5. Dems have at least 55, that's a good cushion. Let Lieberman go with his new GOP friends.

7. His vote is not worth it imo, he's trying to extort Reid into letting him keep that Chairmanship.
you have to draw the line somewhere.

Is this where we want to be, i don't, it's time to take a stand.

9. Yep. I can see the point in keeping him around when he'd be the tie breaker,
but there's no point now. I say kick him out on his ass.

11. his vote is dirty and tainted, i don't want him spoiling what we've got and how dare he?
Where the hell does he get the nerve to trash democrats and then go to the RNC and make a speech trashing Obama and then just expect he'll get to keep his position? Snowe and Collins are more trustworthy and reliable than that traitorous asswipe is.

10. I don't think we need that jackass.

Even if he's the theoretical "magic #60", there's moderate Republicans in blue (and now blue) states that won't necessarily support filibusters. Fuck him! Fuck him! Fuck him! (And not in a good way either! :grr:)

12. If I read the question right...
...the answer should be zero percent.

He saw this coming a mile away.
